  • man why did thay have 2 remove it the thunder bolt was still in good shape

  • @ArieskidChristian siren upgrade to battery backup. Tbolt stil stands but isnt active

  • is the Thunderbolt still loud like hell even without the blower?

  • @nickman888 not really, unless the horn is facing you the whole time and depends what chopper setting its on

  • @amtrak3501 lol how abt with the blower

  • @nickman888 i had a thunderbolt face me the whole time with the blower on and needless to say i had a headache the whole day!

  • i know the feeling manchester georgia's thunderbolt blower failed once i was right under it forgeting it was test day and WGGGGGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA the blower was not on luckly i would have walked away with bleeding ears but its so much quieter without the blower

  • @lilaj34siren well if you were under it, the sound of the thunderbolt shouldnt have bothered you even if the blower had worked as intended, since the horn wouldnt be pointing at you

  • Is it quiter without the blower?

  • @Busdude97 oh yeah, as close as i was standing, if the blower worked as intended, my ears woulda been ringing all day. there is a video of this siren with the blower working, look at the video response

  • i would fix that for free, just to keep it running, we gotta have the old sirens in service

  • That is quite the intresting sound, isnt it.

  • I wonder if the weights on the release valve have been removed or the blower pipe is clogged because you can hear it hissing.

  • @TBOLT1000 maybe, i couldnt look under the compressor because its on a wooden pallet to see if it was busted belts

  • This Thunderbolt 1000T would be very ineffective during Tornado Warnings this siren needs to be fixed right away or replaced by next Severe Weather Season

  • @garyhstorms10 i reported it after the test. but all the severe weather we had this year, and the 2001-130 just feet away, i doubt anything was done. hate to see what would happen. Elkhart, IN has a 1000 thats been like this for almost 2 years. reported it 6 times and nothing has been done.

  • Sounds like a belt was busted. The compressor may have been on, because you can hear the compressor faintly when the horn is pointed away from the camera. Always wondered what a dual tone Thunderbolt sounded like without the compressor. Awesome video!

  • Chances are its still gonna be a long time for HWs to remove their T-bolts. Sucks the blower didn't work. Maybe the belt snapped?

  • @Siren1000T1 Or the motor starter failed

  • @Siren1000T1 Harper woods aren't authorizing any repairs for the thunderbolts in due to the 2001-130s getting hooked up

  • @97Siren if thats the case, the 2001 needs to get hooked up now.
