I was born in Rhodesia & grew up in Zimbabwe but never noticed the colour of the kids I went to school with & befriended & am still friends with today. We once lived in peace & harmony, why cant we now? This video somehow gives me mixed emotions. On the one hand, I am shocked at how one man can completely destroy such a beautiful a country. Yet, I cant help but notice the similarities between the South Africa of today and the Zimbabwe in that video. It also makes me grateful in a way, as South Africa's fate could so easily have been the same as Zimbabwe.

I think most Black Zimbabweans would disagree that the state was "better" at least for them, as a minority White ruled state. Zimbabwe would have continued to see tremendous economic growth if Mugabe had allowed the already skilled White farmers to continue to tend to the land instead of kicking them off it and replacing them with unskillled workers. Lack of proper agriculture is a huge factor in why Zim is in the position it's in right now.
