@kingkrown24 I'll just comment that this particular boss coming up I felt was one of the easier bosses in the game, honestly. I didn't even need that much strat, and I was focused on pure stats, no awesome set-ups like HC has... I doubt this boss will be much a threat at all at this point.

You've probably heard this ad nauseum, but Final Fantasy IV: The Complete Collection is wonderful. Even if you weren't a fan of The After Years, the new sprites for the main game are beautiful and having a choice between the original soundtrack and the remixes is nice. I recommend it if you're not completely sick of Final Fantasy IV yet.

so HC, why exactly aren't you using the taming pole instead of the pandoran spear?

higher stat boosts, and combines with certain items, you get the random:instant chain ability. Sure you suffer from stagger lock, but considering fang's not nearly as good a ravager as she is a commando, it's a fair tradeoff.

@superanimeniac The stats of the Taming Pole really don't shine unless you max it out. Even then, the Pandoran Spear isn't that much worse off, unless you get a Trapezohedron. I'll upgrade the Taming Pole eventually, but I have a plan for Fang that will better take advantage of the Pandoran Spear's ability for now.

@HCBailly I have a similar question. You've chosen to upgrade the Axis Blade. ..wouldn't a certain...um...squall of a weapon have been a better upgrade choice? I also thought that to be the best all-rounder, if you know which one I mean.

@j800r I could only see three reasons for using the other weapon. 1) Better stats, but that is easily outweighed in dps by the speed boost of the Axis Blade. 2) Quick Stagger which doesn't help on dps. 3) Synthesizing Random: Instant Chain, which is way too unlikely to be useful outside of challenges.

FFIV Complete is basically the GBA port with fancy graphics. They added a couple CG scenes.

Of course, that means its not as hard as the DS version.

Final Fantasy IV CC is amazing they left the game exactly like the original hardtype version, I like it so much better than the DS version since the sprites actually look normal lol. Also would highly recommend Dissidia 012 its a basically a fighting game that requires some amount of strategy

Aerora: Deals Wind damage to targets in range, tossing them up and drawing them in.

@HCBailly AND Stagger Lock weapons get Random: Instant Chain which is a beastly combination - free stagger, but if you're using COM/SEN/MED or similar the Stagger Lock prevents the full stagger and you can keep pounding for very high damage, a defensive paradigm, and the option to switch but after a spell with COM attacking, the Stagger is longer. For PSP games, Tactics Ogre if you didn't play the original, and other ppl have covered the rest - KH: BBS, Crisis Core, Diss 12, FF4, Type-0.

oh man, you got a psp? There are a TON of good games for the PSP. I recomend trying to get the 20th anniversery edditions of FF1 and 2, FF7 crises core, and, if you like fighting games, Dissidia. And it goes withouth saying to get FF4 complete collection

I always interpreted the small Cie'th as being children who were turned into L'Cie. Small kids, babies even, the only ones left. And they were turned into L'Cie with vaque, impossible, focuses. That's why there's no one on Gran Pulse except the party, you know. They all were given extremely vague focuses by the Fal'Cie, and all turned into Cie'th.

And I'm sure you've goone enough PSP reccomendations, but I think you REALLY should try Crisis Core FFVII, story wise I think it might even be better than FFVII. Gameplay wise, it's a defferent system, so they can't be compared.

Also Dissidia 012. I wouldn't bother with the first one because 012 has the exact same story unlocked later. Only with a different intro and ending if you want to see those, but that's what the internet is for.
