They got them from an Army Surplus store. those r Marine Jackets. all they did was buy em and slap a SSSC sticker on them. And so far they havent talked about merching them, and if they did theyd look different from those. Less Military like, as do to some law. blah blah blah just what i heard from their Blogs.

And Style wise the design wouldnt be completely different theyd just miss a few military designs on them and would most likely be black and some other color and not black and red but other than that theyd look pretty similar. ud just be looking a little less military like.

This is the shit, just heard about Boots Riley on thursday when i had to do a marxist review on his song Ride the fence.

When did this band come out ?

They started out a year ago, first album was released june 16th 2009. They did a couple of shows as The Nightwatchman and Boots before officially joining forces

ehh... wrong. SSSC is formed in 2006 and Boots Riley formed the band with Tom Morello, so he was there from the start.

Their first album is from 2009 though.

@interlake1234567 I agree. Only it's me who calls the music fake not my parents. They use nothing but computers and editing because people can't sing two things at the same time or auto tune their voice with out it. Tom Morello can produce any sound effect they use ten times better on the guitar.

@stryni: Would have thought so initially..but when you consider the lyrics around o-z (an ounce), such as "banks" "circulate" "cash" and "the fed" (reference to the federal reserve, not the FBI), i think he's more likely talking about gold. The price of gold has risen massively in recent years, as it does during times of 'crisis'. Some have made a killing while the masses struggle - capitalism is crippling us, try real socialism! :)

But they're not, in the technical sense. Communists believe that if things continue the way they are for long enough, eventually people will just get pissed off and revolt.

Rage Against the Machine made their mark by randomly popping up and trying to incite revolution. Their ideas are more violent than standard communist ideals. I guess you could say they're sorta Marxist, as opposed to communist, but even that's a stretch.
