This is nothing compared to Darlington or York in the early 80's when you has class 55's around. They filled the station with white or gray smoke that smelled like burning oil (well it was as they were 2 stroke engines) The smoke hung in the air for ages.

I think class 31's have their own smell, kind of a rich scented sweetness that u dont get on modern stuff which smells somehow dustyand dry.
