btw, same dealer told me you can also Callaway a Z06 and get 680hp instead of 580hp... It is $22k more expensive than the regular Callaway 580... Worth to check!!!
I just had the chance to drive one of these monsters in Seattle Lee Johnson dealer... I am leasing 07 M6 and is expiring on November 09. My next car will be surely Callaway 580!!! Much lighter than M6 and surely much faster (and cheaper)
Don't know about that, I see less M6's than I see any Corvettes. Never seen a Callaway 'Vette but never seen an M6 either but I've seen lots of regular 'Vettes as opposed to only three M5s (One an E39 and two an E60)
@Shintsu2 There nothing really special about an m6 it fast as hell with high horsepower number like 500 but the torque is not even over 400 hundred. If you have seen an BMW 645 you basically have seen the M6. Same car.

Is it just me or don't they usually change up the wheels and stuff and king make it look unique among other vettes? Don't get me wrong this thing is fucking sweet and I would make love to it in the tail pipe but it just looks like a vette with a cowl hood and the obvious supercharger.
Callaway generally offers several stages of their cars to fit different budgets. Base cars like this have minimal visual upgrades, mainly the hood. On the other hand, if I remember correctly, the C16 Callaway shares no body panels with the standard Corvette, and has a completely reworked interior as well. Of course, this usually doubles or triples the price ;) At the high end of the spectrum, the Speedster looks even less like a Corvette, and is priced around $300k.

Well the truth is that we can't see many l6/S6 on the drag strips don't we? have you ever seen inline 6 top fuel dragster. V8 makes more power. The car which ryan has now selling cost you 100 000$! do you know how fast v8 car you can have with that money? i guess not.
It all depends on what you want to do with the car; if you intend to get into competitive racing (autocross, road courses, etc), I would strongly recommend a Z06 as it is lighter and has a much more serious suspension configuration. However, if you intend to drive this car daily and just want to have some fun with it, there is absolutely nothing wrong with a Z51 coupe. Of course, you can get pretty close to the performance level of a Z06 with just bolt-ons while still having a comfortable car.
