STS9 is a jam band. If you see them live, you will notice that their songs never sound the exact same when performed, and definitely don't sound just like it does on the album. The band members of course have songs, but the flow is built of the vibe of eachother, which allows them to add certain twists to some of their songs.

Just saw them a couple days ago at All Good when they closed the first night, was never too impressed with their albums but they are definitely worth seeing live.
