I have just watched your quilt making journey and it was amazing. I never knew what a quilt was - I thought it was all about putting the fabric pieces together, not the stitching. It's amazing and you are an inspiring character and really quite ageless in your artistic talents. Thank you!
Oh my. I wish. Right now, I am going through the AGE thing. I HATE my job. I want to do something more peaceful. Yet, I am only 54 years old. I have to keep going or I will lose my retirement. I watch your vids and wish I was there. I too have a little art estate. I might lose it if I choose to let teaching go. It is sad reality. I have been there for thousands. Now, I am all alone. I just want to be an artist. That's all. Maybe in another life??????
It has been quite a "trip". THANK YOU for providing this opportunity to watch such a wonderful experience. I am right there with you. I know the silent times of creating. I know the exuberation of the finale. Margaret, I want to be you! I am aiming for this destination. You give me hope. Thank you.
Holy crap. Not that I want to draw attention to your age, but you have the "spark" (for lack of a better word) of someone half your age. You'll probably go on to live to 150 or something, hehe.
Thank you for this series, really hate to see it end. I learned a lot and enjoyed the conversation. You are an inspiration and I am smiling, thank you!
It was sew nice beeing with you each day in this new quilting tradition. Thank you for including me - my heart was filled with joy when you said my name - just to be a small piece in this awesome quilt.
amjPeace you are sooo right..atree's voice went down two octaves! Thanks atree for reawakening memories and creating new ones. I truly enjoyed this journey!
i joined in very late, but you are one of only two people who have ever made me truly interested in quilting. as a male who is in his mid-20s I am not versed in quilting very much, but the beauty of what you have produced is beyond wonders. great job.
Not to work you too hard in the comment section, but I have to reply to your statement!
Then I cannot imagine what you had when you had it all girl. You just rock, and I'm not talking about in a rocking chair! ;) I love what you allow us to see in you. I'm quite sure you have a great deal tucked away with many other personal treasures. Sonnie
how wonderful to see this glorious quilt's completion and the dedication and thought...omg! as I was writing this I heard you mention my name and you just made me feel like I'm now a part of this creation and I feel very honoured. Thank you! You are so amazing... keep being as fabulous and intricate as the magnificent quilt you've just completed. Peace!
You can imagine all of us giving you a warm hug whenever you wrap yourself in your new quilt. ...and don't think for one minute that we didn't notice that special twinkle in your eyes when you said the name of one particular gentleman at 3:58.
Thanks for each video in this series. I cannot explain how much I have enjoyed the "journey". What a beautiful work of art...you are....and, also the quilt.
Happy for you that you completed your project! wonderfully! sad for us that it is done! btw you got me off my keester I have a simple quilt I have needed to get done ... for a year! ( a lap quilt) I have tWO more rows, piece the back and then sandwich ( will machine quilt) I thank you sooo much! :):):)
I think the quilt looks nice, but my mother prefers color schemes on her quilts. Thank you for putting in the time to make a video log of this. The series has helped me to feel more connected to the projects I have started, and an unwillingness to rush through or give up.
Wow!!!! there was something very therapeutic I felt while watching your whole series on quilting, I was able to escape the business of the Los Angeles Hollywood Life. When I heard you say my name, I got chills!! YOUR REAL!!! She actually knows I EXIST!!!!!
Watching your videos triggered the feeling I used to get when I would lay on the couch with my head on my mothers shoulder while she would sow the buttons back on my pants.. SO THERAPEUTIC!!
I love the song!! what is it's name?
