The problem is there are way too many breeders of both breeds who are willing to sell puppies to anyone for the right price. Those jerks need to be punished to the fullest extent of the law. Their assets sold to rehabilitate the dogs they are hurt.
I adopted a Rottweiler recently, her name is Echo. She was born in 2003 and when i first met her, My heart just melted as she was so beautiful for an 8 year old lady with little or no ageing. During my days off I walk her and she behaves without any flaws. At night i occasionally give her a steak with gravy. And before going to sleep, I always give her a kiss goodnight and she kisses back with her tongue. I just love Echo soooooo much and she is not dangerous.
my rottweiler duke is the best thing to ever happen to me and it was so difficult looking for a place to live that would allow rotties. luckily for us, Duke is a long haired rottweiler so it was (for some reason) hard for people to specify his breed. so we kept his breed a secret. i now work at the apartment complex i live in and they now allow all breeds. rotties, dobermans, pit bulls, you name it! duke is just a big baby and everyone who meets him falls in love.
whoever made that breed BSL Should get their head checked! Like seriously, I have a Rottweiler and he is trained and cared for properly. I lost my first rottweiler, Jake, to bone cancer. After I lost him, I went on to do some rescue work with the breed I had fallen so much in love with. I know how three rotties, Sable, Red and Kuma (and a foster Min Pin.....Betty....she is the one you have to watch out for! lol) I try every day to educate people about this breed. I love rottweilers! my uncle is a rottweiler breeder and he makes sure his dogs he breeds are in perfect health so gets hips and joints checked and makes sure they have erfect temperment he is breedin my grandpas old rottweler who he know has and im getting one hopefully they are not a bad breed it is the owner and the breeder it is like take 2 mean parents more thenlikley the kid will be the same way but i would prefer to get from a shelter but this time i need to get one of her pups to have a piece of my gramps

When I move back home I plan on getting a Rotti for my household. I strongly hate the BSL. I grew up around rotties and pits, never was I attacked or even growled at and those dogs where outside on chains(my aunt owned them). I have had more trouble with small ankle biters but I don't want to ban chihuahuas!

I used to walk dogs at a local dog pound and I came across a lot of really nice rotties. The worst of the bunch came from a puppy mill run by a hardened criminal. Wot does that tell you???? And Those are the ones that are being portrayed in the media and giving the breed a bad name. I've never had rottie but I wouldn't rule one out if I had the time for the training and long walks they need - I don't just now.

We had a rottweiler pet dog who sadly die ( of old age ) a year ago. He was the best friend one could wish for. He was so gentle and friendly, a big softie. He met and made alot of friends in his life-time...both human and dogs....out on his walks. Always more gentle towards small children and the elderly. Like the family, everyone who met and knew him missed him.

I have a handsome young man called Elvis. (He's a rottie!) He has such a good nature, you could flick his ears more than 20 times and he won't do anything, he's also over-friendly.
i am so lucky to be the owner of a rescued rottie he is my best freind ,never faults me ,is always pleased to see me and gives unconditional love,if i were as good a man as he is a rottie i could be truly proud of myself,as for rez lord i will quite happily do the same to you as you do to your rottie ,any time.

i cried my heart out for days when i lost my rottweiler to BSL i coudnt sleep i just sat in a corner and cry you cant just take a an animal that has saved my life twice and still have the gutts and the heart to look at your dog and say you love them rottweilers did nothing to deserve the treatment that they get on a daily basis its not fair to them or there responsible owners stop bsl againsts rottweilers and pitbulls

I have had two ( I would not say owned ) and they were THE best dogs we have ever had. My last girl was the sweetest friend I could imagine. I was in the Army for 21 years and she was a gift to help me recover from my injuries (from Bosnia). I would have given my life for her... and the day she was put down was the worst of my life. I loved this video. Recently we lost our Rotty Girl of 9 yrs. She was a rescue that someone left to die. Most amazing dog of our life. to Honor her memory we just rescued a Male Rotty who was also left by some awful human, hungry and underweight. 2 wks later and he is doing great, filling our hearts and family with his love. This breed is amazing. I have a 6 yr old daughter both dogs have loved and protected her.
It´s often that owners of small dogs say that my little dog i not dangerous and when the small dog attacks a bigger one and the bigger one defends itself it is made responsible for what happens. So sometimes it doesnt matter if the owner of a rottie is a good owner. There will always be bad ones.
bad people will always find something they can train to bite and kill. when all "dangerous" dogs have been banned they will do it with german sheperds or anything else.
i've been bitten twice: once by a german sheperd, once by a hound. i've been attacked by a newfoundland dog, i have interfered when a big white long-haired mutt attacked a small dog and her owner. i have been involved in plenty of incidents with aggressive dogs - but not in one with a "dangerous" breed, rotti or pitbull!

But outside, he is a love. Any dog will bit, it is up to responsible owners to socalize their dogs and not put them in inapproprate situations. Ban Bad Owners, Leave the Dogs Alone.

I had a staffordshire bull terrier, she died in feb this year aged 16. Broke my heart, I said I'd never have another dog. My Bull mastiff missed her terribly and didn't eat for nearly 2 weeks. So I bought a rotty puppy. She is a star, I love her she is so loyal kind funny full of character. It really hurts when people cringe when I tell them I've got a rottweiler. What is in a name? I have had two Rottweilers in my life, which I loved very much. They were more then just pets they were like my children. In addition they were very protective and loyal to my two small children.
This BSL stuff is a complete and explicative misunderstanding of what the Rottwieler breed is. Teacup breeds raised poorly can be nasty. A properly raised Rott is a credit to its family, a known temperament and a predictable animal. I speak from solid experience. Threaten the family of a Rott and you best be afraid, offer no offense to the family and you best be packing a decent petting.
How can you take such a beautiful animal and turn it into a vicious beast. Please be kind and teach our Rottweilers to be powerful lovers instead of powerful haters!
I have had two Rotties and they are GREAT dogs BUT I took them to 16 weeks of training and made sure they were taken care of...I hate to say this, but people do this kind of things to their children...Maybe people should be banned from having pets or kids until they can prove they are responsible or not sadistic fools.

I never knew anything about rottweilers until I ended up with a beagle/rottweiler mix that was about to be euthanized in a high kill shelter. My sweet boy had been beaten and remains afraid of people, but he has the most wonderful disposition and has brought me to love rottweilers. We rescue beagles primarily, but our newfound love for rotts may change all that. I had a rottweiler...she was so noble. The way people ought to be: tough but gentle...decent out of training and strength. To raise a strong large dog, you need to have experience training dogs, you need to spend time, and they need exercise.

I had an 8 year old rottweiler that my neighbors pit bulls got in our yard and killd our pet. I was not mad at the dogs, I was mad at the bad owner. People have to understand that it's not the breed, it's the owner. We now have Bear's daughter and I am teliling you that I will never have any other dog then a rottweiler. I have 3 small children and they are protected at every second. Daisy acts like they ae her kids instead.

It was heartrending to see the mistreated/abused dogs, but lovely to see the after pics :) It's amazing how they bounce back with a little bit of love & care and after all they have go through they still manage to show so much love and devotion to their new owners.

my rottweiler duke is the best thing to ever happen to me and it was so difficult looking for a place to live that would allow rotties. luckily for us, Duke is a long haired rottweiler so it was (for some reason) hard for people to specify his breed. so we kept his breed a secret. i now work at the apartment complex i live in and they now allow all breeds. rotties, dobermans, pit bulls, you name it! duke is just a big baby and everyone who meets him falls in love.

I lost my first rottweiler, Jake, to bone cancer. After I lost him, I went on to do some rescue work with the breed I had fallen so much in love with. I know how three rotties, Sable, Red and Kuma (and a foster Min Pin.....Betty....she is the one you have to watch out for! lol) I try every day to educate people about this breed. I love rottweilers! my uncle is a rottweiler breeder and he makes sure his dogs he breeds are in perfect health so gets hips and joints checked and makes sure they have erfect temperment he is breedin my grandpas old rottweler who he know has and im getting one hopefully they are not a bad breed it is the owner and the breeder it is like take 2 mean parents more thenlikley the kid will be the same way but i would prefer to get from a shelter but this time i need to get one of her pups to have a piece of my gramps

When I move back home I plan on getting a Rotti for my household. I strongly hate the BSL. I grew up around rotties and pits, never was I attacked or even growled at and those dogs where outside on chains(my aunt owned them). I have had more trouble with small ankle biters but I don't want to ban chihuahuas!

I used to walk dogs at a local dog pound and I came across a lot of really nice rotties. The worst of the bunch came from a puppy mill run by a hardened criminal. Wot does that tell you???? And Those are the ones that are being portrayed in the media and giving the breed a bad name. I've never had rottie but I wouldn't rule one out if I had the time for the training and long walks they need - I don't just now.

We had a rottweiler pet dog who sadly die ( of old age ) a year ago. He was the best friend one could wish for. He was so gentle and friendly, a big softie. He met and made alot of friends in his life-time...both human and dogs....out on his walks. Always more gentle towards small children and the elderly. Like the family, everyone who met and knew him missed him.

I have had two ( I would not say owned ) and they were THE best dogs we have ever had. My last girl was the sweetest friend I could imagine. I was in the Army for 21 years and she was a gift to help me recover from my injuries (from Bosnia). I would have given my life for her... and the day she was put down was the worst of my life. I loved this video. Recently we lost our Rotty Girl of 9 yrs. She was a rescue that someone left to die. Most amazing dog of our life. to Honor her memory we just rescued a Male Rotty who was also left by some awful human, hungry and underweight. 2 wks later and he is doing great, filling our hearts and family with his love. This breed is amazing. I have a 6 yr old daughter both dogs have loved and protected her.

It´s often that owners of small dogs say that my little dog i not dangerous and when the small dog attacks a bigger one and the bigger one defends itself it is made responsible for what happens. So sometimes it doesnt matter if the owner of a rottie is a good owner. There will always be bad ones.

bad people will always find something they can train to bite and kill. when all "dangerous" dogs have been banned they will do it with german sheperds or anything else.
i've been bitten twice: once by a german sheperd, once by a hound. i've been attacked by a newfoundland dog, i have interfered when a big white long-haired mutt attacked a small dog and her owner. i have been involved in plenty of incidents with aggressive dogs - but not in one with a "dangerous" breed, rotti or pitbull!

I am the owner of a rescue rottie, deemed unadoptable, he is the most wonderful dog...afraid of my cats, and he loves people. Yes, he barks when people come to my door, tis his job. I can't believe the cruelty of some people! I've never seen such horrific pictures! This had me in tears! No matter the breed there's no excuse for treating an animal like that, certainly not an animial that isn't guilty of any crime! Rotties deserve a chance just like the border collies or the St Bernards! Don't discriminate against them! I had a staffordshire bull terrier, she died in feb this year aged 16. Broke my heart, I said I'd never have another dog. My Bull mastiff missed her terribly and didn't eat for nearly 2 weeks. So I bought a rotty puppy. She is a star, I love her she is so loyal kind funny full of character. It really hurts when people cringe when I tell them I've got a rottweiler. What is in a name? This BSL stuff is a complete and explicative misunderstanding of what the Rottwieler breed is. Teacup breeds raised poorly can be nasty. A properly raised Rott is a credit to its family, a known temperament and a predictable animal. I speak from solid experience. Threaten the family of a Rott and you best be afraid, offer no offense to the family and you best be packing a decent petting.

I never knew anything about rottweilers until I ended up with a beagle/rottweiler mix that was about to be euthanized in a high kill shelter. My sweet boy had been beaten and remains afraid of people, but he has the most wonderful disposition and has brought me to love rottweilers. We rescue beagles primarily, but our newfound love for rotts may change all that. i had rottie for 16 years she grew up with me and watched over my baby brother for many years..she never hurt anyone and she wouldn't evern bark at anyone.its not the dogs its the people who train them to be the way they so you should not ban the dogs but stop the people who it to them i love rottie's!!!!

OHMIGOD !! I am fighting back the tears..I have two Rotties..wish I could rescue them ALL..also need to stop the puppy mills so that all the unresponsible people that want a cute little rolypoly cuddly rottie will stop turning them in to shelters because they are "too big" or "want attention"..disgusting..if you want to bring out the worst in a Rottweiler deprive it of companionship ..even then they are the most forgiving beings in this universe !!

I had a rottweiler...she was so noble. The way people ought to be: tough but gentle...decent out of training and strength. To raise a strong large dog, you need to have experience training dogs, you need to spend time, and they need exercise.
Other than child abuse, there is nothing that makes me more furious than animal abuse. If you think dog fighting is "cool", you are a coward.

You make the best videos, thank you for trying to educate IGNORANT humans who don't realize it's not the breed, it's the owner. It's that SIMPLE, but simple minded ignorance doesn't realize this, it's unbelievable! We need harsher stiffer penalties for bad owners. Thanks again for the FACTS, and not fiction.

I had an 8 year old rottweiler that my neighbors pit bulls got in our yard and killd our pet. I was not mad at the dogs, I was mad at the bad owner. People have to understand that it's not the breed, it's the owner. We now have Bear's daughter and I am teliling you that I will never have any other dog then a rottweiler. I have 3 small children and they are protected at every second. Daisy acts like they ae her kids instead.

we've took rottie from animal shelter, garda(irish police) took poor thing away from people and charged them with animal cruelty. Bo is the cutest thing on the planet she is most gentle and playfull dog i've ever seen. this video made me cry about how unfair our societies are towards animals.

i have an 18 mnth female rottie.. the sweetest most innocent thing ever. of course i trained and socialized her since she was 7 weeks. its all about responsibility.

I need to quit watching your videos in succession. You should send this to your congressmen, local government, anyone who will listen. If you get the word out, like you are doing here on YouTube, you could definatly make a difference. Heck, send THIS to 20/20 after they do a report on "vicious dogs". What an absolutely brilliant video.
It was heartrending to see the mistreated/abused dogs, but lovely to see the after pics :) It's amazing how they bounce back with a little bit of love & care and after all they have go through they still manage to show so much love and devotion to their new owners.
I live in the UK and own a Rott and we are facing a similar kind of situation here, would be devastated to lose this beautiful breed :(

Its not the dogs that need to be banned or killed its the horrible owners that need to be executed because if a person can do this to a loving animal God knows what he would do to another fellow human.
