Mac Pro 09's audio update 1.0 is causing high pitched noise / whistle sound

The issue is fixed with Audio Update 1.1

same problem here. I checked with APOGEE DUET, FOCUSRITE SAFFIRE 24 DSP, MOTU 828MK3, TC ELECTRONIC IMPAC TWIN, M-AUDIO PROFIRE 610 and STEINBERG MR816X. So sad, need a solution NOW !!!!!!!!

I HAVE the EXACT same problem. except i use a Motu 896mk3 Firewire.

I had pretty much the same noise after the update, but could still hear it if you turn the mac pro off and left plugged into the wall socket! WTF!!!!

I did not realize / tested this on my machine yet. I reverted the audio update 1.0 . Please give apple a product feedback bug report so there will be a better chance that they will fix it soon:
