I did everything right but when i install the new firmware it always says unknown error (20) I have tried deleting the itunes folder in music but it still didn't work please write back, i am desperate...

your videos recovered my iphone when i accidentally upgraded it. and now the same thing happened to my friend's phone.

i followed all the steps, installed all the programs, etc but i keep getting error 20 in itunes and ziphone cant read my friend's iphone.

i don't know what to do... i can't even turn off the phone or get it back to the emergency calls screen. it's just stuck in recovery mode :(

uninstall your itunes. go to start, music and delete all your itunes folders. then install itunes 7.5 and take it from there

Worked for me expected.. i had to put it in Recovery mode while i had Itunes 7.5 installed.. while in the "connect to itunes" screen i updated to 7.7 then re installed the firmware twice, then ran the "normal mode" in Ziphone. Then jailbroke it with the "do it all button"

for thoes of you who are getting stuck at the restoring to normal mode in ziphone..just reinstall the firmware 2x times...the same firmware...1.1.4 amd than try again with the ziphone..it works

when you say install the firmware twice. do you mean the 1.1.4 firmware from modmyifone? or pressing shift and restore at the same time?

i did everything perfect but when i go to click normal mode it does what it dose and stays at "rebooting in normal mode..." im not sure how long it takes for this, my phone is detected. please help

Mr Elliott,being that you have t-mobile service on your unlocked 2.0 iphone,are you still able to make purchases/download from the app store, and are you able to sync using itunes, does itunes recognize your iphone?

Hey Everyone, Alot of people are getting stuck at putting the iphone in normal mode in ziphone, but for those with this trouble, install the firmware twice... just make sure you are getting error 1015 twice around.. and then try ziphone normal mode it should work....

unplug and plug the iphone to the computer, make sure ziphone is reading your iphone and when its connected try normal mode again

Okay i did that and it still wont go into normal mode. I tried redoing the whole process following you step by step until i got to ziphone and i clicked normal mode. it said "Phone found....Starting in normal mode" but it never starts back up. it just stays with the USB and Itunes icon. I dont know what could be wrong with it

If you are still getting the error 20, this is what you do. Close all programs itunes, ziphone, Close them all. then you want to hard rest your iphone into recovery mode, hold the power and home button until the iphone goes black, when it goes black let go of power button and continue to hold on to home button until itunes pop up on the computer. it will say iphone in recovery and hit ok. Hold shift and press restore and continue the steps....

Hello, I have been doing everything you have recommended however, I am still having trouble with error code 20 once I do the shift restore and iPhone1,1_1.1.4_4A102_Restore. Itunes starts to extract the software but at this point is when I get the error code 20. From here I have done what you recommended but to no avail. you told me to click shift restore and pick 1.1.4 i did that and that you got error (1015) i get error (20) and i get stuck there cant go beyond that. Ziphone cant see my iphone in recovery mode, my itunes cant see my iphone in normal mode so i get stuck here and have to restore 2.0 back on there....taking me back to step 1.
