i saw them play last night at a christian music festival. they were amazing, met the lead singer afterwards, such a good guy. the band brings such a good message to a sub-culture of people that need to hear it.
oooooo ur in trouble now tht u read this keep reading and something good will happen to u and if u don't the dark world will do very bad things to u A boy named Thomas was walking then he heard a noise in the woods He thought it was just a rabbit so he kept on walking then he saw a flash then died Now that u read this repost this on 10 different Youtube videos in less than 24 hours or you will see a bloody dirty face in the window and he will kill you with a knife HURRY u dont have much time
ivory line is one of the best bands along with the band Annasay. I just discovered Annasay on itunes recently, and they have quickly become a favorite too. Listen to the song"Winter Air" by Annasay
Well, Ivoryline say they themselves are christians, but most of their songs are about deaths in families and relationships, so, they say their relatonship with God is personal..
Tooth and Nail need to make sure they don't fall into just being another record company. Jesus Christ should be exalted above all fame, fortune, connections, reputations, the acceptance of man, and outside deals. Christians today are look for truth. Now, I'm not against the styles, but the lyrics of songs are becoming too vague that you can't tell if it's a Christian song or not. (this is not about this band or just this record company, others too need to re-examine their motives)
i dont think this is the case, there is no need to crush musical creativity just to conform to a more fundamentalist approach to worship. as music is a creative medium, it should be about how they feel towards god, and for others to interpret how they do towards god.
i actually prefer the more liberal approach, as although im a christian, i really dislike some of the christian methods, i.e. people wearing sandwich boards around their necks preaching, or really typical worship songs.
@Creationcreed so you want a song that talks about how much you love jesus that says his name 20 times? idk about you, but i think that is just god awful. metaphors are beautiful. if a song gets too specific talking about how you want jesus inside you (no pun intended), well, it ruins the whole thing for me.
@777RAD777 Using Jesus' name alone does not make it a Christian song, neither does omiting it from it. I enjoy metaphors, or poetic songs too. I don't know if your Christian or not, but using Jesus in the proper way in the song is good. I'm just sayin, with a Huge platform like that...spreading the Gospel to the world should be number 1. Or at least present the Gospel to the audience after the music stops.
yeah webber is right tooth and nail isnt all christian
in fact, when anberlin was signed to tooth and nail, they said that the only reason that they are considered christian is because tooth and nail USED to be all christian
Dude, don't wait to get the album because it's awesome. It is definitely one of the better Tooth and Nail releases since 2007's "Southern Weather" from The Almost.
In an interview I saw they said that everyone in the band is indeed Christians. But the music they sing is both Christian and secular. They wont force a song about God or vise versa. They're an amazing band =)
Christian bands haven't forced anything down anyone's throats since the 80s, a few did in the 90s too. It's an old stereotype. Most, infact, almost every Christian band out there today doesn't do songs only about God.
damn i have to get this album man i love these guys! Im so glad to see that 2 of my favorite "small" bands (ivoryline and flowers for dorian) are getting so much recognition!

if you listen to the original song it doesn't sound as good because it doesn't have the drums going on this part.
