They didn't prop the motor and chassis at an angle for looks. That was how the altered drag cars were build back in the day. Its more of a retro drag show car than anything else. I like to see cars like that, so people in the sport now can see how things evolved.

Read up on the car. Not being rude either, its not a street car. More of a show and exhibition drag car. There is no radiator and/or cooling system. Not to mention the exhaust system, if you ever stood near the car you would realize how extremely loud this is. I'm stoked that the Shifters So Cal have helped get this car to pass tech and make a few runs. Now , all you Nay Sayers can eat crow !

I think a lot of it has to do with how the car hooks up. If you plan on hooking hard its all about the big sticky stinking tire over powering the HP/eng twist then something has to give so whatever you do ,dont use solid motor mounts or chain it down, as long as your boxed and dont go crazy u should be ok.

It's actually an optical illusion - the car's channeled so much it makes the engine appear sky high.

optical illusion my @ss. Yes the body is channeled about 5-6" BUT the oilpan rail is also about 7" ABOVE the top of the frame, which puts the bottom of the pan about even with the frame like he said. Ain't no optical illusion about it.
