i have the worst luck. Cause i thought that the teenage mutant ninja turtles were too old so i thought they won't sell them anymore at stores, so i made my mom to order them online. While i was waiting i went to toys toys toys and i saw the teenage mutant ninja turtles action figures were still selling there

Oh c'mon everybody likes leo the best because he has 2 big swords. Mike is my fav. because he can do a lot with his weapons. You can pull the nunchuks in the direction opposite to the way they are bent and bop foot on the head. Or swing them around and get a side head shot. Had so much fun with him. That was a fun easter. (yes my folks got me toys for easter I hated candy)

Trust me the belt is different, the plastic are made different...it worth buying...

In the original turtles they always came with two weapons.I got Splinter and Bebop and they are painted more colors. I know this is strange but trust me. The new vers of the 80's are made different. Look at your original and the new ones they look different. But the movies toys are different than the 80s toys. That why they made Movie Stars Turtles Toys.

Great Review Mike :) I wish they had re-released this with a more updated look similar to what Mattel did with the New He-man Classics. They released it with its classic look but with a modern feel and better articulation. And also what Hasbro did with the 25th anniversary figures and offered the classic look but with a newer sculpt. I hope they come out with that for these Ninja Turtle figures this year as well. I think i still have my original figures :)

The 25th Anniversary figures are made from the original molds so they are not any different from the classic toys from the 80's.  Playmates even reprinted the original packaging. Also I seem to recall these figures were partially based on the comic books (hence the mean-looking faces) because the cartoon wasn't ready at the time the art was finalized.

The only reason they made the cartoon was to promote the toy line. It was a requirement set forth by playmates as part of the contract to make the toys.
