Hard to believe its 20 years now since this first appeared on our screens. Premiered on BBC one around teatime on Easter Sunday (April 19) 1992.

I don't if it was translated into other languages to the amount that was done with Animals of Farthing Wood but I do remember S4C showing it in Welsh.

Great programme though and Niamh Cusack from Heartbeat portrait Beatrix Potter so well :-)

I still watch this, and this has to be one of the greatest films of all time. Just the passion in which she sings makes you want to hear this. And the stories it's self is just amazing. I have this series on DVD for my kids to watch. It is, by far, MY favorite movie for them to watch. I love to listen to it. If I get depressed or lonely, listening to this song, and the movies themselves, gives me an "all's right with the world" feeling. I have no idea why. And why have I never heard of Miriam Stockley before? She has a lovely voice!

@crackers250 I went to the Beatrix Potter museum in Gloucester last month and this was playing on a VHS / TV. I sat there for about 40 minutes watching, hugging the huge Peter Rabbit they have there. My friends thought I was weirder than before and left to go to the pub! haha The women who work there said I wasn't the first 20 -something year old to do that! I miss these!! :(
