  • I love young white kids...they are so free and alive...they don't bother anyone...and they just wanna have a fun time.

  • Never mind, looks like a Heritage H535

  • What kind of guitar is playing played there?

  • My favorite song by the Dirty Dozen Brass Band is definitely "Dominique." This one's up there too.

  • ONE OF THE BEST SHOWS I`VE SEEN IN MY LIFE! GREAT MUSICIANS!

DONT LOSE AN OPPORTUNITY TO SEE THIS GUYS ALIVE!

  • Great, but where is teh bass player?

  • @BRitaBRazil the sousaphone made the bass of the song!

for me sounds better than an electric bass

  • @mrmambojazz Not bad, but I hear some slaps in my soul, would sound great....

  • @BRitaBRazil The one with the Big Sousaphone strapped around him. kinda hard to miss ;-)

  • More Cowbell!

  • @FetalJuice88 yeah that makes me laugh

  • Hey DD, when u comin back to H town? Even if the dryer hadn't fried my DD t-shirts long ago, my gut wouldn't fit in them , anyway. Savin up for hard times-may be back on the Ramen with a generous dose of Slap-Yo-Mama. Never know!

  • Never expected to see them with drum kit.I knew them more as a New Orleans marching band.Fantastic either way!Why do we only have the like rating.I love this group.

  • Let's celebrate people !!!

  • I saw this group at a Jazz club in Seattle a couple of years ago. They played 2 sets that evening. The first set was during dinner - food was being served and people were eating. Music was great, but before the first set was complete, the band leader, who clearly expected the audience to be up dancing and waving, chewed us all out and called us the deadest audience they had ever played for, and continued to insult us. They did finish the set. The second set, when people were no longer eating OK

  • @msjett2 DD got no bidness playing for someone as whitebread as in Seattle. What were they expecting-a minstrel show? California wannabees got no sense of funk. So they had over blown garage bands 20 years ago and still think they know something. Gone and forgotten, to show up in Trivial Pursuit of the 80's. Sorry, in case you didn't know your irrelevance. It happens to us all eventually. Which is further north-Washington or Oregon!

  • Possibly the funkiest groove ever.

  • Come to Jazzfest and catch DDBB, Rebirth and all the other great New Orleans Brass Bands. Jazzfest is the greatest festival of all time!!!

  • Awesome!!!!!!

  • First heard these guys, as I'm sure a lot of folks did, on Elvis Costello's album Spike. Would have never liked this style of music before, but now it's just plain awesome.

  • I just saw these cats in Nelsonville, OH (Stuart's Opera House) of all places. What an incredible experience. I was literally brought to tears by the sheer enjoyment that they brought to everyone's spirits and souls in that building.

  • This video on the Bonnaroo DVD is what got me hooked on the DDBB. I now own all of their records (including the terrible one), I've seen them live three times including once in New Orleans and I hope to see them again and again !

  • I love the dude on Bari Sax he is awesome.

  • @DragonNile7 He kinda looks like Samuel L. Jackson. A little bit.

  • best bonnaroo year

  • @clayrad1 indeed.

  • The Sage Gateshead Sunday

great stuff ...really rocked ...loved the guitarist ...tough to hold your own in a line up like this

    thanks boys

  • Benn following this band since I first saw them in Philly at the 1985 Jambalaya Jam...They are NOT your typical NOLA brass band..They broke down a lot of walls along the way...To say they come to play is understatement...Never been disappointed...As a trombone/bass trombone/tuba player I can testify to the fact that DDBB can FUNK IT UP!!! "If yo feet ain't movin', you must be daid"

  • DAAMMMM!!! THEY All came out BLAZING!
