Ryan Tannehill vs LSU

A few things I don't like:

1. His throwing motion, totally unorthodox.

2. His inability to read defenses pre-snap, LSU showed blitz clearly and he still didn't catch it and fumbled the ball.

3. Inexperience.

As a Redskins fan, I hope we don't draft this kid. I'm hoping for Matt Flynn, I think he's excellent. Lets draft Blackmon, an absolute stud for Flynn to throw to.

@helmet959 it sounds good if we can...but id rather take a possible elite player with our 6th pick...such as claiborne because elite corners are just as rare and hard to come by as qbs in my opinion...we cant get a qb that is elite in this draft unless we get rg3...we shouldnt try to get tannehill with a first round pick bc he would probably fail anyway...therefore i would get claiborne, reiff to sure up the o-line, or trade down slightly and get picks and draft ingram or kuechly

I'm very unimpressed with Tannehill altogether. He has the tools but hes way too raw. I think he is a 3rd round developmental prospect. He could be a starter in the NFL one day with good coaching.

When Barkley decided to stay at USC, that put us in a hole to try get RG3/Luck and of course after going 0-7, our bumass coach FINALLY decided he wanted to win some games so that put us in even more of a whole. I really dont believe in Tanny, we are in win now mode and don't have 2-3 years to develop him. Luck, RG3 or Flynn should be on our team.

Overall, Tannehill is not a bad prospect. Sometimes he gets confused and mixed up with defenses and isn't always on the same page with his receivers. I don't feel like he's a first rounder, but he may just get forced into the first round, like we see every year with quarterbacks, so hopefully he's ready to get thrown into the fire right away. I think a year under a vet would do him a lot better, though.
