i would disagree. tim austin sammy shelor dan tyminski and ronnie bowman is the best lrb ever. maybe not the best isn't the best words to describe. the fire was sure burning at that time though. LRB is the best!
I agree jcoffey the kids playing bluegrass today are hot pickers but they leave out the most important element, they just don't know how to make you "feel" a song. Long Live LRB!!!!!!!
This is something you don't see often now-a-days. If you just watch Ronnie Bowman, you can tell what the emotion of the song is supposed to be! I love bluegrass and I LOVE in your face bluegrass, but today there are few lead singers that portray the song they are singing. I feel like it has become more about who can play the "coolest licks" rather than the emotion! cudos Mr. Bowman!
Just listen to the back up Sammy does on the banjo! Best there ever was!
