  • huh... i know its costly but tables i make are shitty so i think i buy this it looks so cool and its big :)

  • Decrease prices, you fat shits.

  • Standard table, in the UK a gaming table like that costs £155. I would rather spend £30 - £50 on some scenary and that does the job for me! :)

  • personally i just play on a 6 x 4 piece of spray painted plywood with some movable pieces of terrain thrown on wherever. works like a charm

  • I've just received mine in the post (from Wayland games @ £125) and its awesome! its friggin massive and got some decent detail in it too. Now its just to paint and flock :(

  • the board is $450 in Aus, i think that's really ridiculous considering i can make my own for half that price.

  • @ChatPranks Go ahead. Just remember---time is money, and GW is allowing the lazier wargamers to get a good board without going through the trouble of finding and buying building materials, supplies for those materials, information on how to properly use said supplies and materials (which though free can be VERY time consuming), and then spend even MORE time actually building the board. (Of course I would just make my own board anyways, but still)

  • he isnt large u should get a relly fat guy to do that :P

  • An overpriced board capable of withstanding overpriced forgeworld giants!

  • Im getting one of these. I dont have the time or the space to build my own crap, its a good table and well worth it.

  • Hmm.

  • Everything that GW releases is overpriced... they milk players dry.

It was better in the late 80s and early 90s, they used to have fair prices with good deals, like buy 2 get the third half price...

  • OMG gw is just overpriced plastic and metal why dont they just set up a factory in china and get all the chinese people to make it that way it would ba ALOT cheaper

  • they do make it in china

Think about what ur saying b4 u say it

    :D

  • OMG wow then why on earth is it so FUCKING expensive

  • Royalty free music for a multi-national company eh? Classy.

  • The corners of my board broke. This test is invalid.

  • Prices from GW are definitely extortionate these days; but why do so many people pay them?

Some places do a massive 40% discount on new citadel products. It puzzles me that the GW site shop gets any custom at all...

  • what site gives 40% on GW if its not uk dont reply

  • @FutureNuke They sell it cheap at Wayland Games

  • I thought about getting a Realm of battle board. But i am not sure where I would store it. Does anyone have it. I'd like to know how you store yours. Also If anyone can advise me I'd appreciate it. I have 4 armies in 40k (yeah I know) but i just don't know which one to sell I have marines, Imp Guard, Orks and Tau. Imp guard are out of the question, I love them too much. But the other 3 love em' but I'd like to build up the others. PLEASE HELP!!!!

  • For the Greater Good, get rid of the Tau.

  • i Think u should minimse ur armies to 2 personally 1 imperium 1 other then its simplier if u dont wnt to do this i would get rid of spacemarines becasue lets face everybodt has them

  • games workshop- never going to be in a recession due to high prices

  • @AZnotCali88 I agree. I don't know if it's usefull for GW to apply so high prices.

  • lol, it's kind of annoying that all this cool stuff like the war of the ring and game boards are coming out after i was forced to quit the hobby because no one i knew did it anymore and my bro started seeing his damn girlfriend.

    why do people get lives!!!!??

  • why did you let that get in your way? i have collectede over 800 miniatures and i still do. the only one i know who also plays is my causin, and we live far away from each other. and a brothers girlfrind or if i get a girlfriend myself will not be something that can stop me.

  • cos i didn't have anyone to play against. would still collect i admit but for what purpose?

  • painting and converting, be creative and do your best to make your miniatures look awesome

  • some people glue their models to large plates and the make it look like a big battle, all the models on the plate are unremovable

  • same my cousin collects tyranid i collect imperial guard and marines and his sister collects chaos marines we had a big battle and my girlfreinds even joins in sometimes and we end up having a laugh im not going to stop collecting

  • by the way i meant to say girlfriend the s was by accident im no 2 timer

  • I've used this board at my local GW. It's pretty dang awesome. I still think the price, $275, is totally unreasonable. Before the price hike, when it was $175, it was faaaar more understandable.

  • should have got fat bloke to do it

  • i agree hes awesome

  • i bet they did but wen he has to jump he might of broke it

  • This is obviously a luxury item and so they can charge whatever they want. There was this little thing invented once called commerce and this led to ppl all over the world charging more than thing were worth to make a profit.

  • TBF nobody here has a problem with them making profit, I'll admit I don't know how much they make on each item, but when I started a regiment box was £12, not a bad price, everyone was happy, it went up to £15 people didn't like it but it was reasonable, now they're £20, thats ridiculus, I know its plastic crack and most of us will just suck it up but...I mean come on GW, I tell you what I want, at the least, A financial breakdown of a tac marine box, that will at least show us where it goes

  • Agree completely I collect LoTR, the prices are getting stupid, also the fact that now with LoTR when you buy a hero they always come as a pack of two, thus doubleing the price.

  • I used to get Lord of the Rings too, largely the evil army, but when I first started the heroes only came in single blister packs, it was such a pain in the arse when the started coming out in doubles, I don't pay more money for something I already have, even if it comes with something I don't have

So now I play 40k instead and I haven't had that problem

  • The only way I see it practical for anyone to buy would be if you and maybe 5 or 6 other friends or a gaming club all chipped in. Way to much for one person to buy.

  • that's no large man; it's a gargant!

  • my uncle has one :)

we gonna play Warhammer 40k and Lotr on it

    it's awsome :)

  • Yes take my money !!!!

If you Games Workshop Freaks wouldn't sham out every cent ouf the German customers I would buy more. But as long the German buying price is more than the british SELLING price...NO F* WAY !!!

  • Good luck to GW if they think this is going to be a big seller in this economic climate. It's WAY too expensive for what you get (which GW products aren't?) and unless this sells pretty well I doubt they'll expand the range with things like rivers.

  • 200 eu

    GW CRAZY

  • lol

  • Don't see the problem, if you want a solid board with lots of detail then this one is available. If you don't want it then don't buy it. I still challenge someone to post a vid of their homemade board with as much detail/storability/sturdyness as this one that they made for under $25, without it simply being a bit of wood painted green with paper machiete hills stuck to it.

  • Funny vid :P

  • Go Garbrio! Whooo

  • where can I get one of these boards.

Ive heard that there is a company in Germany that built these and that they come painted and ready to play on.

  • Games Workshop sell them now.

  • If these came pre-painted it would be a lot better. I'm still thinking of buying one just for the ease factor.

  • I built my own board for only 25$ in american dollars. It was cheap and alot of fun. Fucktard

  • homophob?

  • 300$ and shipping is a colossal waste of cash, not to mention you have to paint it as well.

Not trying to discourage junior from buying your product mr. GW but rethink your pricing system you jerkoffs.

Whatever happened to building your own table?

  • They're not selling air are they? They're selling a luxury item. They can charge whatever they want for it.

  • No, when they list it as 150 US dollars and then bump it to 300 and shipping it becomes a problem, GW hasn't many nails left for thier coffin.

I'm not saying anything about discouraging people, but consider the alternatives- You can put money towards so many other projects in wargaming, a table you build yourself will be the pride of yourselves, or getting more space marines and whatnot.

  • Comment removed

  • Theres nothing to stop people from building your own table, GW encourages it. There are some people out there who do not want the hassle, and as such they are selling them another option.

If you knew what you were talking about, you would know that GW doesnt in fact manufacture these. The price rises were due to the 3rd party manufacturer rising their quote, which unfortunately GW has had to pass onto the customer.

If you dont want it, dont buy it. Theres nothing forcing you to.

  • I'd say it was worth the money

  • Funny Video. The quality of the table is awesome. I ordered mine two weeks ago and can't wait to get it. It is a great one-time hobby investment. I'm sure I'll have it long after my Space Marine Battle Company.

  • you would be gutted if you paid £150 and it cracked. so i guess a good test though it could have been harsher

  • Yeah it'd be funny if that man is the heaviest weight that the board will take, and he is actually really light in an inflatable suit. I still prefer the whole build your own boards with £100 left over to spend on minis to make look dead for the board.

  • Lol that is funny! Just dont do that with goblin spearmen from the old box.

  • but can it withstand a goon test

  • We'll probably have one for our store at some point. Who doesn't want to play on a table that looks as sweet as that? The vid does give a good indication of size and how sturdy it is.

  • lol brainiac eat your heart out

  • Good Video mae me chuckle. And to all the spammers above about the price: That board is real quality and what alot of gamers have ben waiting for. I will be asking my wife to get me one for xmas for sure!! Cheers

  • Well, its not bad....£100 is a bit steep tho since it comes as grey plastic...us older guys can afford it...but how many kids can? Check out my game board video, im planning on selling these soon, maybe an extra £50 over GW but its ready to go out of the box...

  • why would gw make the gaming matt like this? Who would be standing on it anyways?

  • Of course no one does stand on gaming boards (no sane person, anyway:)), but many folks do lean on them during a game. Over several matches, this can cause quite some pressure and -over the months- damage on thin tables.

A thick, tough table will last/live much longer.

  • Grande Gabrio!!!!

Tutti i tuoi vecchi compagni d'arme ti si manda un bacione dalla Bella Tilea ^^

  • Haha, this made my day.

  • Sturdy yes, somewhat humorous vid. I thought GW was dead serious business...

  • thats amazing you can stand on it!why would you need to stand on it in the real world, im sure the models aren't that heavy. but for 150pound!!!

  • Nice, this board is going to get a lot of sales where I live.

  • So, at least it won't collapse under the weight of my army. I would have bought it at the $175 or $200 prices that were initially posted for the item. The only way I will buy this now is if I get a 30% discount somewhere, and the rumored extra tiles come out for it.

  • EXPENSIVE D:

  • yes VERY EXPENSIVE as is all there stuff

  • just get used to it, thats like GW is.

  • Nevertheless this only plastic crap for 200€. This makes it faaar to expensive, but you guys know what you are doing, right? I'm sure there are enough idiots/nerds out there who will buy it.

Your price and customer policy sucks.

  • You truly are an ass aren't you?

  • xd it's nice but expensive for me! 200€ aaaaaaaaa i prefer buying miniatures and play at GW shops

  • They should spend more money for a better cam.The quality sucks.

  • it is meant to be like that, like a silent movie

  • I will not buy this because home made terrain is better and cheaper and I need all the money i can save so I can spend 100 dollars on 10 little plastic models! Shame

  • Good to know, that the Table can stand a fat man.........but if i pay 200€ for something, i would hit everybody who try to walk on it.

By the way: That table is TO expensive.

  • hahaha.. nice! :)

  • wow I have to get one...

  • lol, nice idea

  • this free time could have been used better sculpting more models... lol

  • Lol! Nice to see the lighter side of GW!

  • funny but good to know its string

  • strong*

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
