That was beautiful, Michael! I wish I could play like you...Thank you so much for your comment on my video, it was really cool to hear such nice words form a Steve Vai fan ^ ^
I picked it up from Bob Kilgore; his videos are really neat, songs like Tender Age are beautiful, and songs like Tap Dance or Idibits have some neat acoustic tapping parts. I'll look into Preston Reed though, thanks dude.
He doesn't have any that I know of, but if you can tap on an electric you can tap on the acoustic. The way I learned was essentially by trying to emulate Bob Kilgore's style, but as you can see it's not like Bob Kilgore at all. I would suggest trying to emulate Preston Reed or Bob Kilgore; my song's a lot easier to play than any of theirs are though, so if you wanted something a little more simple to start learning w/ I could write up a tab for you, to try it out as a doorway to tapping.
lol actually I was afraid of sounding arrogant when I said that ^_^ I guess just pm me your email or something and I'll try to get it to you tomorrow or tuesday...
Haha, I read the 1st comment and was like "wtf...?" Then I came to this video and was just like "Ohhh!"
I'm glad you liked these though...this vid is a song I wrote like a year and a half ago after discovering Bob Kilgore and acoustic tapping. I tried to take that idea and apply it to my own music.
On a side note, I love that guitar, I wish it were mine...
