  • If Only There Was A compact version...

  • omg the ending

srsly canucks howq much did corsair pay u to tell this shit!?!?!?

  • fu hwcanucks. corsair top quality??!?!?! ahahahah get a life u meganoobs... plastic will tear part of the logo ahahahahahahaha u guys are so dumb!!! ahahaha top quality.

  • Very good review; thanks!

  • looks to plastic and looks awefull!

  • @AeroFix94 what are you talking about its METAL!

  • @threatfiree steel* and it dosent look so stable build! looks so damn ugly!

  • @AeroFix94 eh i think its cool but ya, it is steel i said the wrong "term" lol

  • @AeroFix94 I don't see ANY plastic..

  • @Intel1502 did i say that it HAD plastic? no....i said that it looks so plastic, cheap material noob!

  • @AeroFix94 Since when is ABS steel and brushed aluminum "cheap" material? Do you expect this case to be plated with gold?

  • @Intel1502 oh man....

  • I need a case with lots of room good air cooling easy cable management and side panel window I like level 10 gt and haf 932 but there side panel windows suck plz help

  • Wow this is really good... Save for maybe some rich ppl, hard times hit us all at one point or another & i've literally had this case sitting for about a year now as an unfinished project lol. But now i'm even more eager to finish my build after watching this. Good to know that this case is still 1 of the best around, even a year later. Thanks for posting! -B

  • I cant beleive that this case costs almost 350 bucks

  • @Moronics916 Here the 650d costs 300 dollar, so stop trolling us.

  • @longmage4 550D should be around 125-150$, and is noise dampened.

  • The hot swapable drives (behind the door) require screws, but the ones below don't. Makes no sense.

And damn this case is ugly as hell! Come on Corsair, you know I love you, but why didn't you put just a little bit more effort into design...

  • Comment removed

  • It certainly seems to be lacking in filters... especially for that price.

  • SILLY THUMBSCREWS, BUTTONS ARE FOR KIDS!

  • are those sata conectors sata 3?

  • if i ever gonna get my hands on this beauty i,m gonna lick it lol

  • why would you pay $400 for a rectangle?

  • @wasthatnormal Actually it's $300...and unlike the kid you are who's into alienware looking cases with unecessary lights etc. Mature computer builders care about important stuff like cable management, airflow, durability etc.

  • @LordVoldermort876 its $400 in Australia

im not saying its not a nice case and many cases have tried to match up to it but i don't see the appeal of the outside looks i love the cable management grommets my mate has a 800D and he loves it its huge! haha i have the raven rv01 and i love it :) anyway that's my opinion

  • @wasthatnormal Oh...I took yor comment the wrong way lol. I thought you were one of those persons interested in some cheap plastic case with those unecessary lights lol.

Thanks for clearing that up :)

  • @LordVoldermort876 my comment was out of line sorry :)

i hate over lighting like some people do i like it simple and clean i do have a led strip but that's all, it lights the case up nice :)

  • @wasthatnormal lol I agree a few lights are ok but when people put rainbows in their case it just makes it all tacky

  • @LordVoldermort876 one color is allright but multi color just looks ..bleh but then again that my opinion

  • @wasthatnormal Yeah I totally agree. One color is just fine

  • Great review on a great case. Can't wait for an update from Corsair. (pay no attention to the party foul of a white rom drive in the front. :P )

  • does the ASUS Maximus IV Extreme-R3 LGA 1155 P67 can fit in this case?

  • @danxxlite HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! this could fit a case inside this thing! and yes i understand the maximus IV is a little wider than a standard ATX but im sure it will fit just fine.

  • @danxxlite I loled

  • I want handles for lans.

  • Damn, they make good memory and psus, but this is a nice arse case. But my K62 cost me less than half, can't justify this amount of cash for a case unfortunately.

  • Looks clean 'n sexy!

  • @carefulwiththat sexy? front look like shit

  • @91Erry How so? Because it's plain and clean-looking and doesn't have a bunch of unneccesary crap?

  • @carefulwiththat Its not cool :S

I have a cooler master enforcer and is really cool. but is a mid tower :(

  • @91Erry To each his own, I guess. Have you considered the HAF? It's a pretty sick case.

  • Anyone know when the 900 series case is coming out ? I'm sniffing something very soon coming down the pipe from Corsair.

  • wow. just wow. i want one

  • what a great review!!!

  • Great review and camera work, very professional.

  • Sorry, but even though it is very good I'm nog gonna spend that much money on a case haha

  • @kingdom9214 it can be water cooled it has then holes at the back

  • I just received mine in the main, a total beast. I recommend it to anyone!

  • Its a very nice case, but lacks in water cooling ability. A huge case like this should easily support 3 and 4 way SLI, but in order to do that you would need at least two radiators, Which is fine as they would fit in the case great, but the 800d is really lacking in the air flow department, theres no way this case would be able to keep up with 3 or 4 gpu's and a cpu blowing out hot air. Even if water cooled there not enough fresh are to properly cool the radiators, this case needs better airflow

  • @kingdom9214 Not sure where you are seeing a lack of airflow. It has 1 uplifting intake in the bottom, an intake for the HDD, 3 intake/outake fans at the top, and one outake in the rear. That's 5 fans total. If you bring in an H80 cooling unit for the CPU, then that adds another fan (2 for the h80 total). The h80 fits perfectly in this case, so your CPU never goes over 60 deg. That leaves the 4 other fans for the GPU and 1 for the HDD. Am I missing something that you are seeing?

  • @Fiddlemaster56 First of all, H-series all in ones don't count as water cooling. Second I clearly said water cooled 3-4 way sli setup not a crappy H80 cooling only the cpu. If you do a complete water cooling loop, MB, CPU, and GPU's, you would mount a 360 rad on the top. Blowing the hot air out of the case. That right there drops the case to only 2 fans bring in cool air. The HDD fan doesn't count as it doesn't bring in fresh air. The 800d needs and side and front fan !

  • @kingdom9214 did you try mounting the radiator to the the top and connecting three fans to it? the front is supposed to support a tripple wide radiator so there is that option, but you do have to watercool this system so it is a downer for anyone who is new to it being forced to do so

  • Best case on the market... PERIOD!!

  • its still 299$ and its been 2 years when will they have a price drop?

  • i have it, worth the money :)

  • I'm in love with this case, I want it so badly.

  • Dear HardwareCanucks;

You are the god of reviewing.

    Sincerely, Universe.

  • The oatside?

  • the best at all is cosmos s

  • you also need to review the Nzxt Zero 2 Case

  • ive got an 800D it is sweet

  • excellent review

  • I just bought this case today can't wait for it to get here :D

  • This case would be perfect if it was $200

  • Overpriced, could be justifiable if it was aluminum but nooo.

  • Why would you spend this much on a case LMAO

  • Torn between this n tj07

  • @KINGhotaru11 the tj07 is a better choise

  • @deathflyer10 i have tj07 and 800D , 800D a lot better ;D

  • Just ordered mine cant wait :)

  • @Scyfo Where did you order if from?

  • @Soulcommander ScorpTec.

  • @Scyfo Are you in Australia?

  • @Soulcommander Yeah in Queensland

  • i'm gonna get one

thanks for the great and detail review

  • i'm gonna get one

  • What's the purpose of hot-swappable drives? You can change them with your pc on... but is that really it? I mean, you don't do that that often?

  • @ZeroHeroVids Much easier to pull a drive out dude without having to mess with wires and video cards in the way....Just more convenient.

  • Just Ordered Mine, will be here tommorow :D!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • omg ho wants so many 5.25" mountings? it would be better to have more 3.5"

  • stock cooler & white optics??? :0

  • Nice review, guys. I think I'll invest in one.

  • i cant wait for Corsair to release the midsized 650D in April sometime:P

  • @deathflyer10 itrs already out, Check Newegg 199.99 is the price

  • @Bigducey101 I think you meant $299...Never seen it at $199

  • this was the most professional and satisfying hardware review i've ever seen! great job you answered ALL my questions! i will get this baby and put in a black sprayed motherboard with all black wires, black watercooling tubes... and WHITE smartcoils! FCK YEAH :)

  • Almost could have gotten me off my Lian Li addiction, but I cant beleive how much of a back seat airflow gets... PC-P77F Here I come... At least you can do BOTH cooling types well...

  • :-) Just ordered mine...LETSSS GO

  • DAYUUUUM

  • Ones you turn ''black'', there's no going back! :D

  • Goodt case, but not $300 good.

  • He forgot to mention that there is a dust filter on the bottom for the intake area.

  • Hi,

will Asus Ares fit in this case?

    Thanks

  • @Mirindooo 4 Ares cards would fit (if that were allowed)

  • Thumbs up if you own this case!

  • @Nefus1988 I'm jelly

  • the pinacle24 from MountainMods is much better...

its not close to whtas caled cheap but its realy nice =)

  • il trade my Antec 1200 for this anytime :P

  • This case Kills my Antec Nine Hundred Two.... damn I'm jealous.

  • oh my now I don't know what to do I had my mind made up on the HAF-X before seeing this, arghhhhh !!!!

  • @freedomsoldier187 lol same here

    i can't decide : 800d / 600t/lanboy/haf 932/942

  • @Japsenliebhaber same, got the antec 902 atm getting very cramped and looking for a full tower case or the 600t

  • Hi,

i would like to buy this case but i wanted to know if the EVGA X58 3xSLI fits....

  • Fuck why do I keep watching these videos when it just makes me realize that Im never gonna have any of this shit.

  • @MrSouptits same lol

  • How big are the drive bays?

  • I have this case it has TERRIBLE airflow if you have hot card like the gtx 480's. I had to mode my case and cut a hole on the side with a 200mm fan exhausting air out the side. Check out my video.

  • WHat about airflow for trisli? 1 measly fan that blows over the atx cable..?

    Whats up with that?

  • Are the hot swap drives just sata 2.0 compatible?

  • no i/o shield?

  • i want my cpu hidden inside the wall

  • Is that hot-swap drive bay door made of plastic?

  • @Elicgt no.aluminium.

  • the only thing this case is missing is a kensington lock

  • Buy the way people who are complaining this is expensive...well go and get a real job. Cos seriously this case is CHEAP...compared to Lian Li cases. I paid $450, $500 and $750 respectively for the last 3 Lian Li cases ive bought in my lifetime! Some featyres of this case look a little CHEAP...they have a lot to learn from Lian Li

  • im buying a new pc next year and ive always bought Lian Li...once you buy Lian Li YOU WILL NEVER WANT TO BUY ANY OTHER CASE. That said, this case has some nice features...BUT (and this is a big BUT!!) The design itself could have been more aesthetic ...Lian Li has rounded eges, metal wheel feet in some cases. The corsairs front looks so ugly and plain...i will not be buying this because of that very reason.

  • Wish I had the money for an 800D.

  • The problem I see with this case is the negative air pressure where the motherboard is. Only one fan drawing air from the bottom area filled with power supply wires while 3 or 4 fans are blowing out the top and back. Not a well thought out design in my opinion. I have a 240 radiator on the top of my case blowing the heat out of the case but those fans would be starving for air in this case. If you plan to have the radiator external then it may work, kinda. Air cooling? Forget it.

  • Expensive Imho.

  • is it possible to fit a 120mm fan in the bottom area where the extra harddrive bays are on the side?

  • Lian Li is better...

  • To wrap up do not buy ANY obsidian cases (800d or 700d) if you use air cooling and like to close your case. And check other reviews too, you know the ones that are PROPER reviews.

  • @tdreamgmail I have the 800D with the EVGA E-760 Classified mobo and a GTX480. No watercooling and the air temps were great! I have recently watercooled my system and really the only reason I did was the GTX480 Idles so dam hot. Awesome case, do yourself a favor go buy one of these cases!!

  • @IsoNurFace that's just a bold faced lie. Maybe you have no set point to compare with. If you'd be less sarcastic and read the comments I already have the case...

  • @tdreamgmail Whats a lie? I lied about nothing. I didn't tell you to go buy the case, I was telling other Youtubers to get one. When and where was I being sarcastic?? YouTubers want to know.

  • @IsoNurFace You're saying air temps are great with no watercooling. That's a lie. Read the rest of the comments on the thread. The case sucks for air cooling and not in the good way.

  • @tdreamgmail How can you say I'm a liar??? My experience with air cooling with this case was a good one. I'm sorry your experience was bad. I had no heat issues with this case. The 800D is at the top of the list of premium cases. Of course watercooling is always the ultimate in cooling in any computer case and the temps will always be better, As I stated before the only reason I wc my pc was due to the fact that my video card idled at 63c. That is just the nature of the GTX480. it runs hot.

  • @IsoNurFace a liar or a shill or someone who works for hardware canucks I don't know or do I care. There's too much evidence to show that it is a poor air cooling case. If corsair can make the necessary changes then of course a lot of the problems people are experiencing with it will disappear. Until then you're helping nobody by saying it's a good aircooling case, no changes will be made and you will be stuck with an overpriced underperforming case. Is that what you want?

  • @tdreamgmail I have no affilitaion with Corsair or Hardware Canuks. I am just a happy 800D owner. I have not had any problems with the case. So ya I guess this case is just what I want. Have a good day. =)

  • Second the psu bay screws DO NOT line up if you don't have a CORSAIR psu WTF?!!! A lot of teething problems that should of been sorted out BEFORE they released the product. For the top dollar I paid, I expect perfection and so should you.

And lastly this case is a dog for air cooling. There are no intakes in the front which makes for TERRIBLE air cooling. I tested with prime 95 and linx and temps went up like mad with the sidepanel on.

None of these 3 caveats were detailed in this review

  • @tdreamgmail I have the Ultra 1050watt PSU and had no trouble at all installing it! Maybe your psu is just a cheap off brand and the specs are off from the manufacturer of your psu. My psu lined right up...walla she was done!!

  • @IsoNurFace It's not cheap or off brand, it's the Enermax Revolution 1250w

  • I bought this case based on this review, althought I'm reluctant to call it a review because it is more an advertisement for corsair. In a review you're suppose to mention the pros AND CONS. There are no CONS in this "review". Much to my dismay I found these out AFTER I bought the case.

First the gpu alignment is off for some cards (mine GTX285), you will have to force the cards into the rear expansion slots putting unneeded tention on the card, pci socket and mobo, not good.

  • i hate my life im so fucking brokefuck

  • @MultiIPwnage srsly man!

  • @MultiIPwnage ooooow i feel you...

  • @MultiIPwnage it sucks 8 months since i wote this comment.., still dont have a desktop :(

  • @MultiIPwnage get a job and stop crying.

  • @MultiIPwnage why do you writ to yourself??

  • @MrZiimong i had a mental breakdown that day. It makes me sad to see that I wrote this.. I don't want to be like that anymore

  • @MultiIPwnage i feel for you man. keep going

  • @MultiIPwnage Finish it yet???

  • @MultiIPwnage Still broke? :P

  • @xxtimetimexx Stole a ASUS G73

  • @MultiIPwnage LOL

  • @soltk im dead serious, stole from some guy at collage

  • @MultiIPwnage ¬_¬ son i am proud

  • I like this guys voice..very radiophonic voice..is that right to say..I won't get this only because it doesn't have front to back airflow...

I think theyre website needs work too.it's a shame because it looks nice but i'm guessing it will work better for water cooling...i'll get antec again..1200 cause my current 900 is tight when doing Cmanagement...maybe i'll go with lian li..

  • I work for Microcenter and we did a thermal test on this case against the HAF X. We took a store demo setup consisting of a EVGA X58 SLI, i7 930, and EXGA GTX480. All at stock settings. In the 800D, temps averaged 10-20 C higher after benchmarcking vs the HAF X. The big one was the 480. It was sitting around 89-92 C in the 800D and around 68-75 C in the HAF X with out the "Fermi fan duct". After that, I would say the 800D is for water cooling only.

  • Whats is this case without watercooling?

  • If i'm gonna spend $300 dollars on a case the least they could do is add some Kensington locks or some other type of security. I spent over $2000 on computer hardware and Corsair overlooked the value of their products. A K-lock can be cut by wire cutters but at least it's better to try securing the case.

  • @IMFDB have you seen the case is really big is going to be really dificul a guy can steal that case

  • @luis61961944 you don't have to steal the case you could just dig into the hot swap base and steal some $500 SSD's.

  • Mini fridge ftw

  • this case is so hot inside better get the haf 932 amd edition than this case its to expensive not great aircooloing........

  • god this case is so sexy. I wish it was cheaper :D

  • What's the size of the 3 fans that can be built on the top again?

  • @JasonTheInsane 120mm

  • @HardwareCanucks hey i just bought this case, isn't it supposed to come with a POST speaker?

  • @HardwareCanucks How big are the drive bays?

  • this is professional!

  • im using a full tower Ultra aluminus case which i like but i just switched to water cooling "thermaltake big water 760i" and i need this big case! and it looks great! ill be buying this case next week

  • I WANT THIS CASE!!! The only problem I have with it though is I would like to paint the inside red but I don't want to risk ripping apart a $300 case =[

  • I still think the coolermaster HAF X is better than this

  • @HardwareCanucks Hi again, i have a dude: This case can fit the motherboard Gigabyte GA-X58-UD9? This motherboard has been interested me very much and had in mind because i wish a watercooled PC and i need see if can fit the 4 5870´s videocards. Thanks again and cheers.

  • @SandmanGodslayer The GA-X58-UD9 does NOT list the 700D/800D in its list of supported cases unfortunately.

Your best bet for a motherboard that will support 4 graphics cards would be the Rampage III Extreme, or look into getting the Cooler Master HAF-X case which supports all consumer level motherboards.

  • @HardwareCanucks Does the 800d support the XL ATX motherboard type? More specifically the gigabyte G1 assassin?

  • @SandmanGodslayer you have a dude? :D

  • @SandmanGodslayer you have a dude? Good to know :D Just kidding No it won't Follow the uploader's advice :)

  • Are the screwless bottom hard drive bay mount 2.5" SSD? or just the hot swappable bays?

  • Hmmmm look like the HAF X beats this 800D for sure.....

I still like the clean smooth design though =/

  • 1 word "awesome" !

  • Its a great case, i think i may be the person with the worst hardware that also has the case

  • im sorry but this case need cdrom covers!!!
