I'm From LA, We don't want/need another team, I'm a Clippers fan say what you want, I've loved them since I was 9. But the "Royals" are moving into an area where you have two teams who both are far better teams/more exciting games than the kings. NOW maybe people will get why folks in Seattle are still so pissed. If it can happen in Seattle and Sacramento within 3 years, is ANY small-to-mid market franchise safe? I'm still waiting for a credible reason why Sacramento & Seattle had "arena issues", according to the NBA, while the Knicks are still playing in MSG, which is old as fuck! Oakland did the exact same (major renovation) to their building as Seattle did, yet, the league hasn't stepped-in complaining it's out of date...yet.

@Fakename70 the reason why the arenas have issues is because they are old and not state of the art as the nba requires them to be. they reason they are like this is because the tax payers of the city don't feel it's worth it to pay more taxes to renovate the arenas. that's just the way it is..

I don't know if you've ever been to Key Arena, but, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it for basketball. It opened only 4 years prior to the building in Oakland in 1962 and re-opened after major renovation in '95. 1995 wasn't THAT long ago. Oracle Arena re-opened 2 years later, yet Key Arena is supposedly not "state-of-the-art"? Exactly how "state-of-the-art" is MSG then? It's being renovated this summer for the 2nd time since '68. Why was Seattle not given the same chance?

I'm well aware of the feelings of taxpayers regarding public funding of sports & entertainment venues. That is a completely separate issue from what I'm getting at. My point was Seattle & Sacramento had the threat of "get a new arena or else" hung over their heads by the league, yet, that's not happened in New York. MSG --- in its' current location --- has been in operation since 1968. How does that not qualify as "old" or "out of date" in David Stern's NBA?

Pardon my language, but Stern doesn't give a shit about players and fans. He cares about TV ratings and money. The good thing is that many people see this now.
