DAVID STERN SUCKS AS NBA COMMISSIONER!!!!!! BUT IF HE WAS NFL COMMISSIONER RIGHT NOW LOS ANGELES WOULD ALREADY HAVE A FOOTBALL TEAM AND THE PACKERS LEAVING GREEN BAY ELSEWHERE SCREW DAVID STERN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
stern is selling these teams to the highest bidder and is running the shit like a fucking chain of dry cleaners. he doesn't give two shits about teams surviving because he knows he can flip the team and ask for a crazy sum of money from the next investor. he needs to go, but i see no one else in the pipeline.
Keep the kings in Sacramento and give us back the supersonics, fuck you David Stern, get a new commissioner Stern is running the league into the ground.
@TexasClownerz Amen brotha. OKC does not need a team. Seattle needs our sonics back and Sac-town needs to keep there team. Im sorry Sacramento but I really hope we get a team, I know how it feels and we will take care of them.
doesn't the Los Angeles area have enough teams. I mean if any one should move to Anhiem it should be the Clippers. Keep the team Sacramento and give Seattle their team back.
Kings...Please stay in Sacramento. We don't want the Kings in Los Angeles. There is barely enough room for the Clippers here. This is the Lakers town. We don't need them or want them. Thamks but no thanks David Stern.
David Stern is running the league into the ground, abandoning the people that make the NBA run. Even the people in the booths are saying WTF, and you know the players are as well.
im from seattle and noone deserves to go thru what i went thru. im 16 and that fucker david stern stole MY team from me. I bought merchandise, I went to games, and i loved them when they were terrible. i hope the kings stay. fuck david stern.
Sacramento does not deserve to lose the Kings, with that said I do feel like the Sacramento had considerably more time to figure out a situation than Seattle did. Doesn't matter though, both cities were great for the NBA and it's unfortunate David Stern is a piece of $#!% and doesn't care.
I'm From LA, We don't want/need another team, I'm a Clippers fan say what you want, I've loved them since I was 9. But the "Royals" are moving into an area where you have two teams who both are far better teams/more exciting games than the kings. It is easily the worst move in sporting history, (and I think I may actually mean that)
CHRIS WE STILL LOVE YOU HERE. WE WILL ALWAYS BE YOUR HOME. WE NEED TO GO RIP THAT #4 JERSEYS FROM THE RAFTERS BEFORE THEY CAN MOVE IT TO ANAHEIM BECAUSE IT BELONGS TO US.
NOW maybe people will get why folks in Seattle are still so pissed. If it can happen in Seattle and Sacramento within 3 years, is ANY small-to-mid market franchise safe? I'm still waiting for a credible reason why Sacramento & Seattle had "arena issues", according to the NBA, while the Knicks are still playing in MSG, which is old as fuck! Oakland did the exact same (major renovation) to their building as Seattle did, yet, the league hasn't stepped-in complaining it's out of date...yet.
@Fakename70 the reason why the arenas have issues is because they are old and not state of the art as the nba requires them to be. they reason they are like this is because the tax payers of the city don't feel it's worth it to pay more taxes to renovate the arenas. that's just the way it is..
I don't know if you've ever been to Key Arena, but, there's absolutely nothing wrong with it for basketball. It opened only 4 years prior to the building in Oakland in 1962 and re-opened after major renovation in '95. 1995 wasn't THAT long ago. Oracle Arena re-opened 2 years later, yet Key Arena is supposedly not "state-of-the-art"? Exactly how "state-of-the-art" is MSG then? It's being renovated this summer for the 2nd time since '68. Why was Seattle not given the same chance?
I'm well aware of the feelings of taxpayers regarding public funding of sports & entertainment venues. That is a completely separate issue from what I'm getting at. My point was Seattle & Sacramento had the threat of "get a new arena or else" hung over their heads by the league, yet, that's not happened in New York. MSG --- in its' current location --- has been in operation since 1968. How does that not qualify as "old" or "out of date" in David Stern's NBA?
Pardon my language, but Stern doesn't give a shit about players and fans. He cares about TV ratings and money. The good thing is that many people see this now. The bad thing is, we can't do anything about it. Isn't it ironic that two of the best fan bases in basketball are gonna be without a team? Who are the Laker fans that bring in the money? Hollywood. That's why Stern fixes games and is a control freak. I hope he goes to jail in the near future. He is a thief and a fraud.
Even if we lose our team because the Maloof brothers are complete idiots, it's good to know we have the respect as the best fans in the league. We would still be the best right now if the Maloof brothers weren't in threatening to move the team for the past 3 years. C-Webb, this will always be your home.
To Anaheim? Really? If they were going to Kansas City of even San Jose I might be able to understand. Both cities who have wanted a team for a long time, and the Kings even used to be in Kansas City, so it would be kinda fitting.
Chuck be da freak. Dat cat could boom on anybody and do it in traffic and he only 6`4. What L.A. gonna do with another team? dat makes it 3 teams now if my math is correct. Go Blazers!
Props to CWebb and CBark for talkin' it up. I remember seeing Chuck at El Gaucho eating, drinking and picking up the ladies-so I'm sure he liked his time here too.
Im glad to hear the talk about our sonics n that its still in the minds of others as to what happened here. Thats all it ends up being tho, jus talk. @youngguru2000- ur a fukn idiot!
This is so typical of David Stern and the money hungry bastards like that oklahoma city jerk! The least the NBA could do for the people in Sacramento is keep their team in the league after what happened in the western conference finals in 2002. Poor buggers have been ripped off! I'm in Australia and i feel for the Seattle & Sacramento (hopefully not) people.
im from seattle and ever time i see OKC on tv and think that they should be seattle it makes me wanna literally throw up, thats how upset it makes me

We are happy w/ our Lakers.
Anaheim doesn't need a franchise.
If they do, just relocate the Clippers to Anaheim, that's pretty much their whole fan base.
Kings relocating, I don't see how they can compete w/ the Lakers and Clippers.
Keep them in Sacramento.
