@durtymacc strange. I wrote a lengthy reply that just disappeared?

It was just so much easier to see stuff up on the roof in realtime than on a computer monitor after a 3 hour render. I bodged a very convincing aurora borealis from some glass diffractions and a bit of color fiddling, looked rubbish on the computer but just like the real thing on the dome.. you can see it here com/watch?v=u3246a5HhJI ( add youtube)
