Depends on who you work for and how well you perform. I do it independently(Meaning I do it for different businesses that need advertising) and get paid $15 an hour. I'm the guy spinning the sign in the video(which is 2 years old today)
I do actually. I use 2-3 rolls of fat duck tape all over, slightly having more at the bottom so that I can feel where the sign is facing at all times(lets me land it with accuracy)
the greatest thing about this advertisement is that if you're pissed that you can't read it, or that he caught your eye, they have got your attention meaning the advertisement worked. i just wish we had sign spinners like this near us, all we got is Mexicans with the foam fingers.
i am the best at the landing, i take 4 pizzas from the oven, place em in the box, cut em, an close em and put em on front, in 8 seconds. i can handle 3 oven at a time with no help at all, and do the bread and chicken also!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Very nicely done!!! I just started my job as a spinner today! I had no idea what a spinner was, but I now think it can seen as an art form. I am taking the job as secondary employemnet while I am attending school, and I think whomever is hating on this position needs to really stop, for this job pays well, you get to ahve a lot of fun, and it saves a lot of money from not ahving to attend a gym daily.

I'm 15 and I wanted to get a job doing the shakerboard but I guess you have to be 18 (I'm in michigan) but I don't understand why. It seems like the last job you'd need maturity for. Shouldn't you have to be 18 to work the ovens or something rather than hold a sign and dance around?
Yeah, that's a good point. We used to let 16 yr olds do it, but we had a lot of parents complain about their minor children standing on street corner holding a sign, either they said it was too dangerous, by traffic, or bc they were outside unsupervised, or, my fav, didn't want their 16 yr old daughters standing on the street corner, holding a sign that says HOT AND READY! So, they finally just made it where minors can not do it, but I guess the franchise stores still allow it. Good luck!! :-)

i am the best at the landing, i take 4 pizzas from the oven, place em in the box, cut em, an close em and put em on front, in 8 seconds. i can handle 3 oven at a time with no help at all, and do the bread and chicken also!!!!!!!!!!!!11

Very nicely done!!! I just started my job as a spinner today! I had no idea what a spinner was, but I now think it can seen as an art form. I am taking the job as secondary employemnet while I am attending school, and I think whomever is hating on this position needs to really stop, for this job pays well, you get to ahve a lot of fun, and it saves a lot of money from not ahving to attend a gym daily.

My advice for you newbie sign spinner is this: invest in some music device, get gloves(trust me on this), understand patience(the job will frustrate to no end) but most importantly make sure your having fun cause if your not, your wasting your time. dude its not degrading to do signs. people think its cool and funny, so give them a show and have fun. When i do signs we always mess around like that lol. its getting paid to walk around holding a sign for hours. so its definately worth it.

I'm 15 and I wanted to get a job doing the shakerboard but I guess you have to be 18 (I'm in michigan) but I don't understand why. It seems like the last job you'd need maturity for. Shouldn't you have to be 18 to work the ovens or something rather than hold a sign and dance around?

Yeah, that's a good point. We used to let 16 yr olds do it, but we had a lot of parents complain about their minor children standing on street corner holding a sign, either they said it was too dangerous, by traffic, or bc they were outside unsupervised, or, my fav, didn't want their 16 yr old daughters standing on the street corner, holding a sign that says HOT AND READY! So, they finally just made it where minors can not do it, but I guess the franchise stores still allow it. Good luck!! :-)
