i know its not all about graphics an stuff.. but hounestly. you think games would just naturally move on with this sorta thing anyway, this would feel like a star trek mod for freelancer or something lol, except with ground battles as well. i evan noticed some frame rates dropping a bit as well :S

I really want to play this, but after playing Cryptic's other games (Champions Online and City of Heroes), I'm quite a bit unsure if it will be worth investing more of my money with another game from them. It does 'look' good, but will it play well?

Looks like a turd, its WOW in space.

Whether it survives a year once the "OMG STAR TREK" factor has warn off and the game play has to stand on its own 2 feet is another matter entirely.

The other company did go under but Cryptic picked up the project. Will it be good is a major question since Cryptic other MMOs City of Heroes and Champions online have lag issues. I was shocked Champions (CoH/V 2.0) did not address this issue. You would think after 6 years of CoH problems they would have learned.

Is this game coming out on the 360? I have seen screen shots for the Xbox on gamespot but I just didnt think the console could handled such a big online game. Does anyone know for sure?

They have stated at one time it will come to PC, 360, PS3 and Mac. Champions Online has a 360 client on the way also.

To see it is possible look at Final Fantasy XI. This MMO make it to PC, PS2 and Xbox 360. The PC is top of the line for graphics with its pure power. But the PS2 and 360 also have good versions.

A number of other MMOs are also looking at adding console clients since 360 and PS3 are solid platforms.

@Dromiz I don't think Champions was made by exactly the same team that made CoH,  something to do with the Marvel dispute

eaither way, Champions was a real let down from Cryptic, and unfortunately while Star Trek Online has its good points, it is lacking alot in the way of interesting content and the ground battles really could do with a complete overhaul.

Soz I hate saying bad stuff, hell, i'm still addicted to it (Captain rank 9 tactical officer atm)
