@likky1 Clever comment and I agree,likky1. King of Fighters is like a festival, fans all around always look forward to it when it comes around. And when it comes everyone has a good time and it's gonna be a party! :-D I love all the KOF series from '94-XIII. It has great gameplay, fun characters, music and story. The Ash Saga is my favorite saga by far :-) I hope Ash is will re-appear in the next game. If he won't I'll sure miss him a lot.

@starliteskies ash may be hard to tell what gender he is without him talking but he is still a cool character and as i know SNK never kills a character without reason and you know this is a good reason/ending to me anyway

@likky1 Thanks for the reply :-) Ash's sad ending is a really sad one. I got teary eyed when I watched it, but the sad ending stirs up much stronger emotions than happy endings. I guess... Also when Ash sacrificed himself to save the world. He proved himself to be a much bigger hero than past KOF heroes like K', Kyo and Iori. Also his ending builds up on Betty's character. I agree when you say Ash is a cool character, but in all due in respect when I 1st saw Ash, I thought he was the man! :-D

The spear dude is Shion someone who worked under "Those From the Past" (Saiki's underlings), who in the end, betrayed them and got caught in some kind of limbo. His motives are unclear and I guess he has potential to be something more than just an underling. Trap.

I was personally hoping for a return of Yamazaki and other Southtown gangsters, especially since Yamazaki is the only member of the Hakkesshu (Orochi followers) bloodline alive and is such a badass/wildcard/doesn't give a fuck.

He works as an underling of Magaki and seems knowledgeable about the workings of Orochi. His true motives and his reason for following Magaki are unknown.After being defeated at the ruins of the tournament finals, he is dragged through an extra-dimensional gate and seemingly killed. However, after Magaki is defeated at the end of the tournament, it is Shion's spear hurled through a gate Magaki created that finally kills him, suggesting he is still alive. End Turn.

4:24-4:49 yep that's Shion.He makes his first appearance in KoFXI as a sub-boss. He was conceptually designed to be one of Ron's daughters though developers decided to change his gender to startle and appeal to fans with his androgynous appearance. His gender was revealed to fans in his official back story,which states(and corrects itself) on his masculinity.

This is a 3 game arc that had each of the games before it having to detail everything each team did during the tournament. that is a lot of characters to write for,so if they finished the whole game's story in one game, it would take away from the story and be really rushed.

@shadowzero9200 Maybe you are right, but what I also meant is that Blazblue has voice acting, pretty good animation and I think it's much longer (didn't really count how much I played it to get 100% on everything) and becouse of that you get more attachment to characters, it was like pretty good visual novel. Blazblue's story also doesn't end in one game and the 2nd one ended on cliffhanger... KOF seems kind of empty compared to that but I guess it's partly becouse I haven't played previous ones

@ImgoingtoWC it IS because you havent played the previous ones. Also, seriously, KoF has WAY more characters in it than BB, which is why it is easier to write more content for those characters and fit it in one disk.

KoF has always been rich in story. Play the others and you will see.
