I hate it when people complain about Rottweiler's tails. They're either too short, too long or they shouldn't have them at all. I want to tell people to shut up with their opinions and just appreciate the beauty and intelligence of the breed! I think it's really cool to se the whole family!

Anyway, I'm not against docking, just the method used by breeders back in the day.

Fact is, they have a very powerful tail, but if docking would be done not by binding off with rope or rubberband, but if they used a local anaesthetic done by a vet, I dont really see the harm in it.

And as a sidenote, best looking species of dogs ever! And Dobermann, but I prefer rottweilers because of their strong build.

@Bastarden dude u have to cut the tail. Big dogs such as the rot, boxer, etc need their tails cut because of problems with hip dysplasia. It doesnt ruin them it helps them. Apparently u dont know much about these breeds. If it was cruel then vets wudnt go on with the procedure.

I know this because i have/had both breeds.

@vallekid hip dysplasia is a genetic inherited disorder, caused by things such as inbreeding. it has nothing to do with docking the tail or not, the tail is docked mainly for esthetic purposes... it has absolutely nothing to do with the dogs health, and it has been banned in many countries.... ask any breeder personally i dont care about docking the tail or not, but it's an useless procedure

Well Honestly Your Rottie Should COME WITH A DOCKED Tail Bc Thats A Procedure That Should Take Place Within The First Week! I Do Mine Within The First 5 Days Bc After That The Tails Become HARD BONE And Then Its More Of A SURGERY As Opposed To A Simple Procedure!
