  • holy shit, i havent hear the name mr.rogers in eons

  • lakeside is the coolest park out there to bad they closed down the old speedway there

  • To give you a sense of how much time has passed since this was made,

The little boys in the very beginning saying "This is going to be fun!" are my brothers. The older one on the left will be going into his sophomore year at college in August, the younger one on the right will be a senior in high school in September. Weird...

  • "You've never been suspended?" "Not this year." - HA!

  • Thank you so much for this! I used to LOVE this! My uncle burned me a DVD of it and I still have it but it got scratched. But I used to know every word to this thing. Thank you! :)

  • I love this guy's documentaries. They focus on the everyday, mundane. SOmething overlooked elsewhere.

  • I could hear the Wurlitzer model 153 from Cedar point at 6:42!

  • @Wurlitzer157 No longer operating. :(

  • Thank you for uploading this.

    -Mike

  • I like how the kid thinks Mean Streak is fun. In the very next clip, you can see the cars shaking and rattling on the track as they go down the drop. I hope that ride burns.

  • This documentary is great...... how old is it? It seems to be early to mid 90's. Let me know please. ......just curious.

  • @kkeithor It's from 1999

  • Mr.Rogers!!! so got my attention (but still watching... so idk wats next. lol)

  • They have a Mr. Rogers ride?!!? AWESOMEEEEEEE!!!!!!

  • thanks for posting these

  • Rick Sebak is, indeed, the iconic creator of scrapbook documentaries. Formats withstanding, perhaps Charles Kuralt was more famous due to capital circulation.

My two Sebak favorites are: The Strip Show and Pennsylvania Diners. His narration is slightly more relaxed with perfect tonal pitch than in this documentary.

Rick Sebak is a true Pennsylvania legend!! Thank you for all you've done for public broadcasting, Sir.

  • i have this video!! ah, memories :]

  • is this narrated by michael moore? it sounds like it. Anyway, i love this! PBS knows how to do it..

  • it was narrated by rick sebak, i believe

  • @wille35 God no. Rick Sebak is the ultimate documentarian of stuff like this. He invented these types of documentaries a couple decades ago and everyone copied him. :)
