The same thing goes with the drums. The Rev actually used some unique patterns as opposed to Dragonfoce, who uses nearly the exact same drum beat in every one of their songs. And absence of bass? Did you not hear the bass section at 5:05 in this song? And have you heard the intro to The Wicked End?

chord progressions are a lot alike. When you're a guitarist and you learn there songs you realize just how much of there songs are alike. You just can't tell due to either a different tuning or different use of the chord progression. Either way I like both bands. I like A7X more but still.

@epicrockbandplayer Also the Rev had a tendacy to do the same quarter note bass snare bass snare beats. Critical Acclaim's Verse, Afterlife's Verse, Almost Easy's Verse. Even on the parts that Portnoy had to play on the Nightmare album he was still doing the same beats. Like in Nightmare, Welcome To The Family, Danger Line, Natural Born Killer, and others. Still great band none the less but I'm just saying.

There is a difference. Strumming is when you go through multiple strings like a chord, alternate picking is when you pick up and down on one string, then you can move to different strings and continue alternate picking. I don't give 2 shits about this shitty band.

this song is NOT on the rock band network store, it is a custom chart. to play custom charts you need audition mode (also used to playtest RBN songs), to get audition mode you need an XNA creator's club membership which is somewhere around $100 i think. not a bad price for unlimited DLC, just be prepared for some crappy charting by amateurs. you're welcome :)
