The previous commenter needs to remember that there are many things we can all do in the quest for a better world. Chomsky observes and comments and inspires, he keeps watch and he campaigns. From where would he obtain his 'hoards of money'? Why do you imply that he doesn't 'help those less fortunate'? He's been doing that most of his life.
Perhaps his hoards of money can be used to fund these people. Perhaps he can charge less for his public lectures, perhaps he can work at somewhere cheaper than MIT and really help those less fortunate. Rather than being an armchair revolutionary
