This woman is a blithering idiot. The stimulus package gave a wooping $250 dollar checks to old people, and to dead people, and to felons in prison. She calls that a tax cut. It's a tax rebate. And, it was to offset the huge increase coming for medicare recipients coming in 2011.
I guess the democrats are becoming the party of "feed grandma some dog food" before the death panels get a hold of her.

Your statements on the deficits are flat out lies. A president cannot hide spending from the CBO. They have produced numerous graphs that show the Bush deficits with the Iraq wars. Some even have that portion specifically highlighted. It is a fact that the deficit was being steadily reduced between 2005 and Sept. 2008. Uhhh... I must have missed something here. What lies did Blitzer call her out on? There's a question regarding the size of the tax cuts in the stimulus law, and yes, she got a bit flustered. Yes, one could quibble about her figures being based on several years' worth of cuts. But fundamentally, she's right. The stimulus law does include tax cuts for working Americans. It's just that the cuts are spread so thin over so many people that nobody notices them.

The cuts include a $400/person tax credit for people making < $75K,
a one-time $250 payment to Social Security recipients, credits for first-time home buyers, credits for new car purchases, etc.
