it allows the bike to be launched harder due to the fact that it makes the bike longer and when it is also lowered the center of gravity is also lowered thus allowing harder launches and this all makes the bike less prone to wheelie...

moto, you are right and wrong...actually a few features on new bikes are from the drag racing world...shift lights are now standard on several bikes and we all are starting to see shift assist become standard and or optional...

Japan Inc doesn't build bikes with just a 1/4 in mind these are road race bikes and how many times does a road race bike on a road course take off from a dead stop? The main thing with a litrebike is making usable power. The R1 & M1 yam's won every single reputable championship the year they put the crossplane in the R1. I
