  • Wonderful, and I could add: "Does hate exist? No, it is just the lack of LOVE !"

  • absolute zero, its cold relative to the warmer. But warmer relative to nothing. Acording to physics nothing is colder = God does not exsist o.O? lol

  • This video is exactly what einstein did not stand for.

"A man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy, education, and social ties and needs; no religious basis is necessary. Man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of reward after death."

    - Albert Einstein, "Religion and Science," New York Times Magazine, November 9, 1930

I just google that quote.. einstein was the

  • @Camthebamclamable:

Well but what was said by *Einstein* in this vid was also said by the real one.

Einstein was not member of a specific religion, BUT he was a deist, believing that there is some kind of god out there, but we cannot know wich.

  • @jerome96114 "I don't try to imagine a personal God; it suffices to stand in awe at the structure of the world, insofar as it allows our inadequate sensed to appreciate it."

"The idea of a God is quite alien to me, and seems even naive."

"I do not believe in a personal God, and I have never denied this, but have expressed it clearly."

These were said by none other than Einstein himself. These firmly contradict with what you claim is his belief in any sort of God.

  • @SamuelKGB : he did not believe in a personal or specific god, yes.

But he always said he believed tzhere was a transcedental beeing / force that made the universe ... and that - by definition - makes him a deeist.

  • @jerome96114 Ah. So my belief that the Big Bang created the universe makes me a deist? After all, the Big Bang was a force, so therefore, I believe in a God. I just can't be sure which one. NO.

  • @SamuelKGB : Nope, as big bang is a force IMMANENT in the world. Einstein )and many Deeists before him btw; E.g. almost every religion) spoke of a force TRANSCEDENT to this world ...

    That makes a difference ...

  • @jerome96114 This is a common misconception among deists and theists. Einstein used the term "God" as a metaphor for nature. He believed in the power of science, not any supernatural force.

  • i hate the 146 fucking ignorants who liked this video

  • what is the name of composition in this video?

  • Well, if that was real the professor would have beaten up Albert afterwords.

  • @FromBottomToTop you are not smart how says that albert is right nobody knows it right

  • @94Beelzebub I never claimed to be smart. Actually nobody is smart. You only can distinguish between those who are not smart and those who are even less smart.

  • i do not beleive in god, does that mean i am evil? no, the reason why there is so much evil in this world is because of the eniquity of life. Rich vs poor, this is what creates evil. If someone robs a store because he needs money to feed his family, is this person evil? God has nothing to do with this, we are evil because too few of us are too rich, and too many are too poor.

  • @nebucadnezzar127 Answer this. Who was the first to create currency?

  • They could have picked a better actor to play Einstein. The kid has as much ability as a plank of wood.

  • 63 dumbass athiests went in this video

  • We are not aimless. Without craftsmen there is no a house. All things are created by Allah. All things have complexity and wonderful system. This system can be a result of A Perfect Power. If the Prophets did not be, then we wouldn't know why we live. The real world is afterlife. Allah created both good and bad. But Allah is not bad because Allah gave us choice. Allah is going to judge us in other world. Therefore Allah is fair. If you kill a fly as unfair Allah is going to judge you.

  • Another funny thing is that Einstein pretty much took the same example twice.

Hot & cold and light & dark is precisely the same thing, the absence of photons.

  • Well, he really didn't prove that god is not evil, he just stated that evil is the absence of goodwill. But really, couldn't goodwill be the absence of evil, or do either of them exist at all? Anyways, if there is only good and evil is the absence of good, why did God take away the good in a few places? The Bible says that he is all-good, yet he has potholes. The biggest of these potholes would be hell.

I for one, do not think there is a god, magic nor good or evil.

  • @Ackekvacke I understand you! it is your concept of who God is that makes you think this way in your life you heard of God the qualties of God or story and based on that you come to this conclusion right? You have in your mind that God isn't perfect that he made some mistakes but that isn't true. If you don't who God is how can you say this is God or that is God. If you know what a pen is and I told you this pen is a book wouldn't you tell no it's a pen because you know what a pen is.

  • @Ackekvacke He was referring to the laws of physics so therefore your thinking that goodwill is the absence of evil is wrong but i was thinking at the same way actually you can`t agree with both of them because no one knows the answer right

  • @chabi3000 why must ignorant people like you have to curse such a belief? science does prove many things, yet religion gives people hope. you must learn to love instead of hate. im sure in real life you would not make such remarks... notice how i write to you. learn to think.

  • snopes.com/religion/einstein.asp urban legend

  • I love science, it's an answer to life. Not stupid religion made up by pedophiles and mental defectives.

  • Einstein makes no sense... or rather he states something of cycle O.o

Cold is the absents of Heat, meaning its not true, then what of Heat? the absents of Cold = ="

I dont quite get where that professor is, but he is in the right track. As Epicurus once said, "Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

  • @MaxBlight Hey mate, you are also wrong, Cold is the absence of heat, heat cant be the absence of cold since we can only study heat, we can only study something that transmits energy, aka heat. We can study light and its wavelength and frequencies etc .... but we cant study the dark.. thats why dark is absence of light and cold is absence of heat. As long as something transmits energy aka heat, we can study it.

  • @MaxBlight he was revering on the consideration of physiks but you are right and by the way we can measure cold right

  • This is Awesome..

.. Atheism is a skeleton of an opinion ..without the concept of God .. It has no moral fibre .. It rots progressively into a fading future ..

  • another example of people taking advantage of famous dead people.. manipulating what they might have or might have not said said claims to be real without evidence

  • He stole my thinking strategies. until he said good and evil. Good and evil are both states of mind. To me, something good may be evil to you.

  • Try to seek GOD people..PLEASE... GOd Love each and every One of U...GOd Wan't u to be his son..and .He is waiting for U.....

  • Believe it or not..GOD is True..

all of this thing that u see in ur surrounding is not an accident like theories.Evolution,,Bigbang.etc.. it has all purpose and plan..look in ur surrounding and u can say that GOd is true..!! try to et a wool then put it on a basin w/ water.and stir in spontaneously.there is no chance to change that wool in a cloth. unless some one make it.so there is no accident..GOd planned..It show's GOD true existence. Hopefully .u get my point.

  • That is an excellent clip, and I would love to put it in my favorites list. However, for the life of me, I can't get over the MONUMENTAL HYPOCRISY and irony of the clip.

Einstein, lecturing about good and evil... A man who was instrumental in the invention of the atomic bomb...

CLEARLY any mind that would dream up such a thing, or aid in its creation, is not someone who is operating with any godliness in his heart.

  • "I am a deeply religious nonbeliever. This is a somewhat new kind of religion. I have never imputed to Nature a purpose or a goal, or anything that could be understood as anthropomorphic. What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can comprehend only very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with a feeling of humility. This is a genuinely religious feeling that has nothing to do with mysticism. The idea of a personal God is quite alien to me and seems even naive." - Al

  • It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

-- Albert Einstein, 1954, from Albert Einstein: The Human Side

  • If this story is true, it seems to be an event from his childhood. As an adult he wrote,

"It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly."

To use Einstein to make your point seems more than a little dishonest.

  • @littlecoloreddots well everyone has their doubts... i go back and forth wioth god like a bad relationship but the answer always remains the same that he is good... people are smarter as children

  • its a film ?

  • lol theist propaganda.... its a load of crap though.

  • What a stupid video. It's basically a visualization of a story that's been going around among preachers and apologists for years but with Einstein as the protagonist (to give it some air of authority) which is particularly dishonest considering how dismissively Einstein wrote about the silly infantile concept of a personal god. And, of course, no apologist story can be complete without an evil snooty strawman professor who is somehow engaged in preaching anti-theism during a lecture.

  • @hgratacos he was agnostic, not atheist.

  • What a load of theist propaganda, this is frustration meets ignorance meets deception.

  • We did not came from monkey's

  • @zotje11

    Of course!

We derive from a magic spell, cast around 6000 years ago.

  • Einstein views religion agonostically. He clearly states this in his other works....

  • Total nonsense, this speech has long been exposed as an urban legend. Einstein was a deist, not a theist.

  • @patrickthesaint : That's right. He was a deist. But when you take deism further it leads you to theism. Both are the faith in god and both are religious worldviews. The different is only the theological interpretation of god.

  • @Durge1000 Einstein most definitely did NOT believe in a personal god. While he stopped short of calling himself an atheist, he did not believe in religion. Do a google search "snopes einstein religion", you'll find Einstein NEVER made the above speech, it's a well-known urban legend. Why the hell would a professor waste student time pounding out his own personal views?

  • @patrickthesaint To start with he was no Atheist either. Second you dont have to be Theist to say what was said in this video, which is also connected to the third line of reasoning. Third what video shows is absolutely correct irrespective of Einsteins opinion about this particular subject matter.

  • @gioandgulaze That's irrelevant. Einstein never made the above speech. The story of a student humiliating his sneering Atheist professor is an old one predating Einstein, and it has many variations. When you have to invent a story to make your point, it doesn't reflect well on your cause.

Saying that "evil is the result when man does not have God's love" is not a scientific argument, something Einstein himself would have been well aware. All the video makes is a Chewbacca defense.

  • @patrickthesaint The core part of this video is the quote, which is not a scientific argument but it is a logical argument based on scientific concepts. even if Einstein didnt say it he wouldve said the same if he had been exposed to words such as the one by this atheist professor, just as Einstein being a Deist is a result of logical thinking, as well as his argument of there being parallel universe is his opinion.

  • @gioandgulaze No, it is not a logical argument based on scientific concepts, it's an argument based on religious concepts. Saying that evil is the result of not having God's love barely qualifies as a hypothesis, as it cannot be tested. It's a belief that is dependent upon belief in God, which also cannot be tested. And religion is most definitely NOT a science, as any scientist will tell you.

Please don't confuse religion with science.

  • @patrickthesaint That cold and darkness dont exist, are scientific concepts on which the quote is based, therefore its logical argument.

if belief in God cannot be tested, so cannot non-belief in God be tested, as that one is impossible to prove.

There are scientists for whom science complements their belief in religion, Christianity. There are scientists whose arguments are very clear ones of why science complements belief in existence of God.

So Atheism is based on ignorance only

  • @gioandgulaze The statement "evil is the result of not having God's love" is a hypothesis that cannot be tested, as it assumes God exists. Similarly, the existence of God cannot be tested. In science, a hypothesis without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

The religious beliefs of some scientists only count if they are put forth as hypothesis' and survive vigorous testing to become theories. That's why only Newton's scientific, not religious, writings are remembered today.

  • @patrickthesaint The statement "God doesnt exist" is a hypothesis that cannot be tested, as it assumes God doesn't exists. In science, a hypothesis without evidence can be dismissed without evidence.

it is obvious that scientists can not test something that happens in another dimension and doesn't obey the rules of physics of our universe. Although, the scientific observation can lead scientist to logical thinking of God creating the universe, therefore intelligent scientists believe in God.

  • dann ist das boese also getrennt von gott und spricht gegen seine allmacht

  • Professor got owned!

  • this is a stupid propaganda vid.... i'm sure creationists adore this one....

  • The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this.

Letter to philosopher Eric Gutkind, January 3, 1954

wanna take a guess who said that... il give you a hint hes in the video

  • He is legendary so proud to have Albert Einstien in the history of Science

  • This commercials by the Macedonian gov are good because they motivates our nation to study and people to be more successful in their lives! :)

  • to be honest both good and evil are just the effects of human decision, god has no role in either.

  • @willardftw Emanuel Kant was saying that god is dead! Nowadays Kant is dead but god is still on the Topic^^" very ironic !

  • @baeckergott hahaha you just talked about kant!

  • I request all of you to read the Quran and change your life as i did.

    Thank you

  • @TheSufisomali i did it didnt

  • @Sockheadableful

    ... O K

  • stop asking weird questions, if you want answers about God and his goodness read the Bible.

  • I'd like to see proof that this was actually a precise depiction and that this was his view later in life, which it was not.

  • damn you science

  • but who greated all things good?

  • His argument doesn't make sense. Evil is not the absence of God's love. Cold is the absence of Heat. Dark is the absence of Light. Therefore Evil is the absence of Goodness. It has nothing to do with God.

  • @kwychong Evil is sin. Sin is absence of God.

  • @mistakendrummer Point taken to some extend. but personally, I would think that Evil/Sin has nothing to do with absence of god. Someone commit a crime - u dont push the responsibility to the 'absence of god'. We as humans should learn to take responsibility of our mistake, our 'evilness'.

  • Another good one:

"The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish." -Albert Einstein

  • World is not as old as you think it is "atheist scientist" There is so much information to support this fact, but you are willingly ignorant and choose to ignore these facts. Becuase you are being brainwashed for a very dark agenda. Your veing stripped of your humanity for a very real reason that you will not see for you prefer darkness and lies over that of light and truth.

  • Human existence = approximately 200,000 years

Earth existence = approximately 4.54 billion years

Who are we to say what is possible and what is not. Who are we to completely rule out the existence of god. With what, Rationality. Rationality can't answer everthing.

  • @NewYork17 "Who are we to say what is possible and what is not"

Atheism, science, rationality... these are all different things, but no matter which one you're talking about here, NONE of them claim that it's impossible for there to be a god.

However, all of them would have to conclude that we don't have sufficient evidence at this point to believe in a god, especially not the God of the Bible.

  • @NewYork17 "Human existence = approximately 200,000 years

Earth existence = approximately 4.54 billion years"

Okay, but the Bible would have us believe that the first human being, Adam, was spontaneously created from clay about 6000 years ago. Considering God just made the Earth a few days prior, I guess that puts the planet at about 6000 years too. I wonder where the dinosaurs fit in...

But, you're right. Who are we to argue! It would be arrogant to think otherwise.

  • @NewYork17 yah, your right, based on your logic, I agree with you, who are we to completely rule out the existence of God when the earth's existence is 4.5 billion yrs and humans 200 million yrs. But, the opposite equally applies as well. Who are we to completely believe the existence of God? So again: we're still in the middle... just like we were before... nothing changed based on your logic...w/e logic you come up with, we will still be in the middle...

  • @NewYork17

"Atheism is a crutch for those who cannot bear the reality of God"

Why do people think they can take what atheists say about religion, reverse it back on itself, and still believe that what they have makes any sense at all?

Atheism is a lack of a belief in the claims that religions make, specifically that there is any "God."

If you are saying that atheists are just feigning disbelief in order to hide from reality, I'd like to hear your reasons why that reality has to be God.

  • never heard of negative energy..

and what do you mean by energy being created/destroyed?

  • It was discovered only recetnly (talking about 2008/2009 here) that energy is CONSTANTLY being created and destroyed in a vaccume. This special type of energy is negative energy. Negative energy is the opposite of positive energy.

    space.c0m/businesstechnology/090506-tw-warp-drive.html

  • spacedotcom isnt a scientific source and in its article it even says Scientists have termed this a kind of "negative energy," ...notice they said a kind of..

What they are refering to is the Casimir effect which has a few different interpretations to what is going on and is not the same as the hypothetical in Dirac's theorem.

And NONE of the sources mention energy being created and destroyed.

  • Although einstein himself defines cold, and contradicts himself because it IS the absence of heat. So cold exists, because the absence of heat exists.

  • Basically heat can exist without cold, but cold cannot exist without heat, as cold is basically a "describing word". Light can exist without darkness, but darkness cannot exist without light, as darkness is a describing word. Evil is merely a waste product of high intelligence. He creates "heat" as an object and light as one too, and cold as a "result" but not as an object. But the result itself can be considered the object? But no, because the object must identify itself without another.

  • "The word God is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honorable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish." -Albert Einstein

  • That quote and another quote similar were fabricated. Suddenly a guy gets hold of this "letter" and tries to sell it for 8,000 pounds. Enstine said thousands of other quotes proving he believes in God.

Yet you only believe in this one quote. How blinded you are.

"Science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

  • You're the fool. Have you read the article that quote was taken from (out of context)?

In it Einstein argues that scientists are the only profoundly religious people - because they still have a sense of wonderment at discovering the universe, whereas the chrurchman already thinks he knows the answer.

His religion and yours are not the same.

  • Well nothing science has proven goes against my religion. Infact everything that has, ended up becoming false. So therefore I can conclude that my faith is from God. Your faith is from man. Science is wrong the majoirty of the time. When ever it is right it agrees with my faith.

So why take anything less then from God.

  • did this scene really happen?

  • No.

  • @kubush.

What a liar there are many sources including his own words that describe the scene. Why do you deny the truth and want to push others away from the truth?

  • Name one legitimate source!

  • Yes.

  • The aim of this section to prove that God did not create evil? Disaster here? God the Creator of everything / inspire the souls of good and evil, and choose / You are responsible for your desire

  • In short I do not have the faith to be an atheist. To believe that there WASN'T a God takes more faith to believe that. For example is it easier to believe that there is a painter that created a painting or is it easier to believe that the painting created itself? u decide.

  • That's like saying it takes more faith to not believe in fairies than to believe in fairies. Oh puleaze. Stop watching Ray Comfort. We know paintings have a painter because we already know what paintings are. When you stumble upon a rock do you say to yourself, "this rock must have a rocker"? lol.

  • Atheism means a lack of faith on the belief on god. How can the lack of faith can be a faith itself? That's a contradictory. It's like saying baldness is a head full of hair. Then who made the painter? I mean, we know the painter comes from the womb of a woman after doing the relationship with a man. But then, who made this god?

  • In a bold discussions after dinner Darwin asked his guests "Why do you call yourselves Atheists?" When they responded that they "did not commit the folly of god-denial, [and] avoided with equal care the folly of god-assertion", Darwin gave a thoughtful response, concluding that "I am with you in thought, but I should prefer the word Agnostic to the word Atheist." Aveling replied that, "after all, 'Agnostic' was but 'Atheist' writ respectable, and 'Atheist' was only 'Agnostic' writ aggressive."

  • God was not made.God is far to great to be limited by matter and space. Just because you cannot understand, does not mean it doesnt exist.

Explain to me how negative energy is constantly being created and destroyed? Nobody can, scientists are still baffled that energy can be made and destroyed. Does that mean negative energy doesnt exist?

  • Explain to me why you believe that negative energy exists? Scientists are baffled at something you just completely made up?

  • You have got to be kidding. If you spent 1 minute searching you could have found it. See how you reject everything? Open your eyes, you are so close minded.

    en.wikipedia.0rg/wiki/Dirac_sea

  • Where exactly on that website does it say that negative energy actually exists? Oh right, it doesnt. It talks about hypotheticals and theorems. Open your eyes, you are so naive.

  • Yes its just a theory. Look at yourself. First you claim I made everything up, now you are saying I am naive because I showed you the theory of it.

It was proven to exist very recently on the Science Channel. What am I your mom? I have to find everything for you.

You are a liar, it is that simple you accused me of making it up, I proved I didnt make it up and that the idea is there. Now you go and find proof for yourself . I dont deal with liars.

  • I said you made it up in a layman's sense...not that you literally came up with the words "negative energy."

I am not asking you to find things for my sake...you are believing in things that there is no evidence for. Do you believe in the Ether too?

  • Then everything doesn't have a cause then. It will be the same if I say the Universe was never created and we just live in a sub-universe. What if I believe the Universe was God? You need to define this god, who or what he or she is and why he made the universe and how. Just because you said such god exist, there is no evidence for me to believe in your god.

Energy is never created or destroyed. It just change of properties. Negative energy exist, if you mean by charge. For instance, electrons.

  • Even if this video is real, why would they have a video camera in a classroom that long ago?

  • You have never heard of a re-enactment?

  • This isnt a re-enactment. It is a fabrication.

  • If this logic, is in fact true, then it means God made a mistake. When a child does something wrong, it is usually because of the parents. So, God should still be held accountable for the doing of his children.

  • Oh so you are angry that God has given you free will? We arnt God's children. God created everything, and everything eserves a purpose. Humans were given free choice unlike anyhing else. YOU CHOOSE to deviate FROM GOD.

  • I said nothing that relates to this comment. I just stated this probably didn't happen.

  • How can one choose to deviate from something that he doesnt even believe exists due to the fact that there is zero evidence for it???

  • Historical evidence shows no account of this ever happening.

  • "I am a deeply religious non-believer. I have never imputed to Nature a purpose or a goal or anything that could be understood as anthropomorphic . What I see in Nature is a magnificent structure that we can only understand very imperfectly, and that must fill a thinking person with feelings of humility. This is a genuinely religious feeling that has nothing to do with mysticism.

The idea of a personal God is quite alien to me and seems even naive." EINSTEIN

  • "science without religion is lame, religion without science is blind."

    -Albert Einstein

-The Conference on Science, Philosophy and Religion

in Their Relation to the Democratic Way of Life, Inc.,

    New York, 1941.

Einstein was not an atheist. Only atheists who are ignorant of historical literature believe this lie. It is fabricated by the neo-atheists who feed off of the ignorance of young people.

  • einstein was not japanese

  • Smart, smart man. Science and God go hand in hand

  • by the way this can be true albert said it when he was little because all jewish kids r raise to love God ... ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh if u dnt believe me go down to Beverly hills on a sat if you live in l.a. or around l.a.

  • Why? Is Einstein alive in Beverly Hills? Because that'd be the only way that your comment makes any sense.

This video was made to fool people like you.

  • And another thing... you cannot compare light/darkness, heat/coldness to evil/good. That's just absurd!!! Evil is not the the lack of good. The lack of good is... nothing. Like a rock or a turnip or someone in a coma. Also, evil and good are completely subjective. How are we even defining good and evil?

Again, this video is false. Einstein never said these things. This entire scene is a fabrication.

  • Anything thought from a human's perspective is subjective, as we are sinful beings. And by this logic, you could be wrong. Furthermore, our definition of good and evil could be wrong. In fact, you admitted that. And why not back your theory up? You've merely stated something, without providing evidence.

(I'm not taking sides on whether God exsists or not in these statments.)

  • How would you know?

  • Well, you can't prove there isn't a santa claus, but there's no evidence to back up his existence.

I can't PROVE this didn't happen, but there's absolutely no supporting evidence that it did. You can believe it if you want to. But that'd be pretty thick of you.

  • why would it be fabricated? what is the purpose of someone fabricating this?

  • Whoever made this wanted to think that the world's most famous genius believed the same thing they do.. that a "God" exists.

Also, the string of logic the child in the video spouts is not very logical at all. But because people see that Einstein said it, it must make sense.

It's sad that religions that preach honesty and integrity have to resort to such dishonest means to reinforce their own fragile beliefs.

  • your clearly a non-believer, since your posting all over this video i myself am a fourth year biology student, i have learned many major scientist believed in God such as darwin(evolutionary theory on natural selection), mendal (father of genetics and was a preist!), isaac newton. all these men were geniuses! we dont need another genius to say God exists einstein is no smater than they are without newton there would be no einstein( what we know him for today).

  • Actually Darwin did not believe in God. And Isaac Newton was also into alchemy...does that mean we should accept it is science? Obviously not. These men contributed some very important knowledge to this world but that does not make them an authority on all subjects even within their own specialties.

  • Actually, Darwin was an agnostic, not an atheist. He then thought in a deistic god. Of course, this neither makes the deistic god real. As you said, they gave us some knowledge and discoveries but that doesn't mean everything they believe was a fact.

  • Actually he was both. The distinction between the two was more of your nature or tone to religion rather than actual disbelief. Darwin was indeed afraid to be labeled an atheist because of the stigma of that word and he love for his very religious wife. Darwin was not a deist.

  • also his saying about light and cold don't really make sense to an average person not educated in a scientific way. most kids are not very skeptic about religion and believe what ever their parents tell them, so einstein saying this at such a young age isn't soo unbelievable. what he is saying in the video is logical, if you have God in your heart you do good your conscience is guided in the right direction, without God in your heart when your a non-believe you lack the guidance and do evil

  • Wow. So because I don't believe in God I "do evil"? That's a pretty bigoted view. What about all the religious people who have committed evil acts?

The fact remains that if the events in this video took place, there is no documented evidence of it at all. Anywhere. This did not happen. That is all I was saying. It is dishonest. Which, as an atheist, I think is wrong. See? I don't have "God in my heart" yet I still think being dishonest is wrong. Amazing!!

  • i didnt say you were evil, i just explained to you what einstein said cause you didn't understand. I personally dont believe non-believer are evil, nor did i say religious people don't do evil acts. But a truly religious person would not do evil acts, they pretend to be religious and use it as an excuse for their behaviors, I have atheists friends, does not make a difference to me. there are people that sell drugs, have sex with who ever, lie and stab people in the back and go to church

  • The scientists i mentioned earlier you can look up and its confirmed they are believers as well as many other scientists. there is even many muslim scientists. who cares if this video is fake or not, i know i have read a quote about einstein saying "God does not throw dice", when referring to a quantum theory. So Einstein believed in God and many other great scientists. The reason i believe why is that there is much more out there we don't know then what we can explain, scientists know this

  • Wow, this whole video is completely fabricated. Is this a showing of Christian morals? Making up stories and passing them off as fact?

  • Wow dude. You knw Shit. Einstein was Jewish. dumb ass

  • Fine... Judeo-Christian morals than. My point still stands that this story is utter nonsense.

Also, he didn't believe in God the same way Jews do: "I believe in Spinozas God, who reveals Himself in the lawful harmony of the world, not in a God Who concerns Himself with the fate and the doings of mankind."

  • this is beautiful...

i love my faith and i absolutely adore having faith.

  • I find it interesting that you atheists forgot to quote this statement; this is incredibly ironic considering what I've read so far.

"In the view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what makes me really angry is that they quote me for support of such views" - Einstein

  • just becasue you prove there is a god that does not mean its the same man in the Bible who was only present in the middle east while the rest of the world stayed ignorant to this "truth" and are to burn in hell for it,

  • Yes, however, it is only those that are willingly ignorant who will be condemned for their worldly behavior. Someone in a secluded area who has perhaps heard of Jesus once or twice, but never in depth, will be saved; this includes: those who are ignorant to the truth due to circumstance, unborn children, and the mentally deficient. To conclude, allow me to clarify what I believe to be an accurate depiction of hell; hell isn't fire and brimstone (Catholic Church), it's merely an absence of God.

  • Einstein later quotes have him saying that what people wrote about him being religious and believing in god was a lie.

  • "The word god is for me nothing more than the expression and product of human weaknesses, the Bible a collection of honourable, but still primitive legends which are nevertheless pretty childish. No interpretation no matter how subtle can (for me) change this."

    albert einstein

  • This video is so misleading. Einstein wrote many times over that as he learned more about science his religiosity of youth disintegrated. Therefore, the very authority this video purports to support the ludicrous "religion is science, too" concept in fact said clearly that science was the very death of his own religious beliefs. Come on.

  • "The doctrine of a personal God interfering with natural events could never be refuted... for this doctrine can always take refuge in domains in which scientific knowledge has not yet been able to set foot. But... a doctrine which is able to maintain itself not in clear light but only in the dark, will of necessity lose its effect on mankind, with incalculable harm to human progress."

-Albert Einstein, Science, Philosophy, and Religion; from Einstein's Out of My Later Years, pp. 26-29

  • "Religion... is implanted in every child by way of the traditional education-machine. Thus I came - though the child of entirely irreligious (Jewish) parents - to a deep religiousness, which, however, reached an abrupt end at the age of twelve. Through the reading of popular scientific books I soon reached the conviction that much in the stories of the Bible could not be true... coupled with the impression that the youth is intentionally being deceived by the state through lies."

    -Einstein

  • "It was, of course, a lie what you read about my religious convictions, a lie which is being systematically repeated. I do not believe in a personal God and I have never denied this but have expressed it clearly. If something is in me which can be called religious then it is the unbounded admiration for the structure of the world so far as our science can reveal it."

-Albert Einstein, in a letter March 24, 1954; from Albert Einstein, the Human side, Princeton University Press, 1981, p. 43

  • Por supuesto...

    ¡Religión es ciencia también!

  • I am pretty sure this is just made up, I have seen it presented many times in different forms. This video is thus ironic for two reasons

    A) it implicitly implies the logical fallacy that an intelligent persons opinion is a valid argument for a claim, i.e. whether or not the boy is Einstein is irrelevant.

    B) Einstein was an atheist, and even wrote a paper explaining why; this is explained in "The God Delusion" by Richard Dawkins.

  • This argument does nothing to resolve the Problem of Evil. Even if evil is the natural consequence of good, as darkness is a natural consequence of light, that doesn't change the fact that God created the laws of the universe, from the ground up, and if evil was created in that manner he either A) wanted evil to exist or B) had no power to prevent evil from existing.

Which is all a moot point since good and evil are not cosmic forces, but perspectives on actions that aid or harm society.

  • Trans you missed the point of the video.

Evil is not created, it is the absence of good.

God wanted good, however He also wanted love.

For love to be legitimized, God had to give us free will. For without free will, love is not genuine.

However with free will evil is a automatic side product, choices made by those who say no.

God had all the power in the world to prevent evil, He simple had to make us mindless robots.

God did not want evil to exist, but He understood it was a necessary.

  • Furthermore it is not a moot point, there is such a thing as absolute truth. Nazi Germany based its morality around ideas that killing Jews was something that aided society. Society is not what dictates morality. There is a high law of absolute truth.
