@Dizzles Ambulances spelled, A,m,b,u,l,a,n,c,e,s For your info you putz, Hatzolah cared for me last year when I was visiting NYC and had to be taken to the hosptal. I was not charged for the ride and they stayed with me and my family at the hospital and called me back the next day. When I returned home to Oregon, I sent them a t shirt from my vol FD and a check. Shalohm!!!

this because this has happened to me more than once. the reason they dont want you to touch the patient is because if the company loses a unit on the road because we're treating that pt, that makes it harder for dispatch to satisfy its contracts with the hospitals and nursing homes. HOWEVER. we do get dispatched to emergencies MILES AWAY for hatzolah calls. usually when we arrive there are already 1 hatzolah bus (ambulance), several unmarked hatzolah vehicles, and MAYBE a fdny bus. this

i work for Seniorcare EMS in NYC. the company's ceo is Michael Vatch and he is a member of hatzolah. We are a private company with contracts with hospitals and nursing homes to provide transport and respond to emergencies. as an ambulance crew we will sometimes be flagged down in the street for whatever injury. when we notify our dispatchers of the situation, this always happens: they tell us not to touch the patient and wait till FDNY or any other 911 unit arrives on scene. First off I would like to say that this video is great. Next I would like to correct the commenter of the first written comment. Hatzoloh is a NY state certified volunteer ambulance Corp . It is the largest volunteer ambulance company. With over 1000 members consisting of EMT's and paramedics covering every Jewish neighborhood and surrounding areas in NYC and upstate ny. Hatzoloh will respond to and treat anyone regardless of race color or religion.

Proof of this can be found on YouTube where hatzoloh responded to a building fire with an MCI (major casulty incident) in Los Angeles. Once again this happened on 9/11 where hatzoloh was the first ambulance to arrive on scene and start treating patients. Hatzoloh is not funded by the government in any way, they are supported solely by the Jewish community and often by those needing their services.

Hatzoloh has not ever and will never charge any patient. When I was taken to the hospital for an injury requiring stitches hatzoloh stayed with me in the ER till a doctor became available and then followed up the next day to see how things went.
