yes it is, but any others says that it's a northamerican thing, but la ola it's a tradition in mexican football stadiums since de 60's or 70's like a way of having fun during the footbal games breaks or for the support of their favorite team, i think the inventors of these "ola " thing are the UNAM PUMAS, a university who has their football league, who made "ola" or Mexican Wave in the 60's or 70's.
