  • That's why I built mine from balsa....you can re-kit those over and over and over. Of course I could fix that one with a little white glue.

  • these planes are shit so i sold my ones

  • epoxy glue would fix that rite up

  • Why not fly first flights over long grass? surely would help soften any unwarranted crash landings, and might prevent extreme damage

  • Been there done that. ouch!

  • Bugger!

  • wanna fly a warbird? buy a trainer and put military camo on it.

  • I started out with a EDF jet, I know guys stupid me. but after 2 years still no crashes!!!!

I think it is because of Im a airplane/army guy or just born skills. but when buying your first airplane ask the seller for the best and most mild beginner/trainer airplane in the store.

  • if your stupid, i dont know what i am...my first plane was the eflite mini funtanax, but im still flying it today =)

  • A lot depends on natural skill. I had never flown anything untill i bought a Parkzone Spitfire over a year ago, 500 + flights and i'm still flying it.

  • I can fly a three channel with confidence. what should i get from parkzone?

  • Mustang BL

  • OMG anyone can fly that

  • i think alot of the new flyers go "wow those warbird planes are so cool they will look good in the sky... way better than that high wing trainer" the thing is it will only look good in the sky if they know how to get it in the sky. If your going to buy warbird as first plane i suggest u buy some hell of alot of glue and have alot of extra cash tp blow on repairs.

Star out with a Nice Super cub trainer or somthing

  • yes i agree. now for a second plane to the cub... perfect. (with a little 4 channel flying on a sim)

  • I still can't figure out why noobs always insist on a warbird as their first plane... there would be 1/10 as many crash videos on Youtube if they'd start out with a trainer! lol

  • I manage a hobby shop, and sometimes you just cannot help people from themselves. You tell them top wing/trainer, they want brushless p-51. Oh well, it's good for parts sales : )

  • Ahhh yeah, I can see how that would be a benefit for you! I just wish they would listen to the voices of reason and go with a trainer, all these crashes in public parks and crash videos on Youtube can't be good for our public image as R/C pilots! hahaha

  • The Focke Wulf was my first plane.....Im still flying toay with no crashes!!!! =)lol

  • Congrats! Some people just pick it up faster than others. Out of the three PKZ Warbids (Mustang/Spitfire/FockeWulf) the FW190 is the best for a noobie. It is the most forgiving of the three. Glad they finally changed the Moustang, what a crapper that was! Hope the new version is better.

    C-Ya at the Field!

  • Thanks, i guess i was lucky because on my maiden, i made a low pass and right when i turned around the plane went right into the sun, and after it came out i was really disoriented and nose dived, BUT luckily i pulled out just in time and accidentilly made a touch and go!lol

  • You're full of it.

  • great looking plane, sorry to see you crash it. was that your first plane? got my first plane in about a week ago did not even take it out of the box yet. it's the t-34 mentor ePTS. i'm such a coward. good luck with your next plane.

  • yes this was my first plane. but two years later this plane is no problem. the t-34 mentor as first plane is not well. you must start with a high wing aeroplane. like the super cub.

  • @bottomgunner - T-34 might be kinda tough for a first plane......Have you flown it yet? Might I suggest a Hobbyzone Supercub LP first??

  • @motorcopjoe No, i have not flown my T-34 yet. I have the Wildhawk, the Hobbyzone Supercub, and a T-28 Trojan fly them very well. I also recently built a F-15 and SU-37 Parkjet. have not flown them either. check out my build videos. Thanks for the reply.

  • @bottomgunner Are you flying yet?

  • @flyboyfx I have flown my T-28, Wildhawk and Supercub. I have not flown my T-34 Mentor yet. I also built a couple parkjets i have not flown either. Guess i'm gonna have to get after it. Thanks for the comment.

  • @bottomgunner AWESOME!!!

  • Good thing they sell just parts for that =)
