moesnuts: No. It was bare ground, weed barrier, then a layer of DG (2'? shoulda done 3 maybe. no more though). I spent long hours leveling the stones and packing DG in the cracks-wetting it-letting it dry-and doing it again.
Pain in the neck-but I did it all myself.
Stones were also gloss coated. That I did NOT do.

Good job! Question for you... Did any of those flagstone end up being wobbly or do they move a little bit when you walk on them?
