  • God, I am Being educated on you tube, I am a music lover and that means all music. Again I am saddened to learn that yet another great Irish singer has gone. I know we must make way for the young, but I think that the likes of John Mc Cormick, Caitlin Maude,Joe dolan and many others, we will never hear again!

  • So am I, as I'm a real Irish music addict, these songs are so moving and poignant and we can get a little knowledge of the pain and oppression that Ireland's people have known.

  • hi hows you ??? im back o murchu

  • Hi, I am fine though thought I had a chill yesterday, but better now. Was on holiday in Dublin 9 Aug and saw the grave of Michael Collins, James Connelly, Grace Gifford, Ireland's heroes listed, Kevin Barry, among many others and took some lovely pics. It was a very special moment for me. The Famine Statues were a poignant sight too. Kilmainham gaol was a good visit too, tour guided.

  • wow love this song too! This singer is amazing!

  • One of the best versions of James Connolly I have ever heard, what a singer Kathleen was!

  • ..the voice of an angel & the heart of a rebel! i could listen to her all day...

  • Best Irish singer ever may she Rest in Peace

  • My heart swells and could almost explode with the love for the voice of this woman and the life she led with a few boys from Belfast including my father who played guitar with Kathleen and the rest of "The Column". To the last remaining members of "The Column", To Tony, Benny and Paul......... We salute you.

  • what about eamonn largey. did he pass away.

  • Eamonn was killed in a car accident in July 1973. Search the republican news archives for an article by Gerry Adams on Kathleen.
