"MUSIC" is one of the best avenues we communicate our "EMOTIONS" is why Gospel singer Kirk Franklin in his song "DECLARATION (*this is it*) Sampled Kenny Loggins song "THIS IS IT". The fact is "MUSIC" of today, yesterday and tomorrow shall continue to be the Great songs we remember no matter What (time, era, focus) or Whom (race, sex, age, belief or non) is making it. I'm not saying everyone may or even should enjoy the new blend or style, but they will still TASTE THE ESSENCE OF THAT SONG.
I dont really have much to say (nothing nice atleast) about gospel, but seriously you make all members of organized religions look stupid by the line "MUSIC" is one of the best avenues we communicate our "EMOTIONS".....
you use shanty logic to propose two songs noone has heard of (or is related to this song, Will 2K) and tell us things that we probably felt about music already, seeing as we are infact listening to songs on yt.
Answer, the moves they were doing between frames 1:38 - 2:14 was called the "JITTERBUG" a dance for couples, in the late 1930s and early 1940s, which involved fast, acrobatic movements to "SWING" music and the outfits they were sporting are called "ZOOT SUITES" made for that dance in a exaggerated style, high waisted and baggy trousers narrowing at the cuffs, also a long draped coat and accessorized with a long pocket chain. So, "BUGGED" or started "BUGGING" you would be doing the "JITTERBUG".
@Polyrytmi Yes, Mr. Smith did sample the "CLASH" song Rock the Casaba, but "MUSIC" is the Universal Language, if you play the video by Destiny's Child - Bootylicious, notice playing guitar between these opening frames 0:160:180:20. It's none other than Rock's Royalty "STEVIE NICKS" the beat their sampling is from her album "BELLA DONNA" and the song Edge of Seventeen. How cool for a Rock DIVA to mix it w/Soul DIVA'S.
@aabsee the moves they were doing between frames 1:38 - 2:14 was called the "JITTERBUG" a dance for couples, in the late 1930s and early 1940s, which involved fast, acrobatic movements to "SWING" music and the outfits they were sporting are called "ZOOT SUITES" made for that dance in a exaggerated style, high waisted and baggy trousers narrowing at the cuffs, also a long draped coat and accessorized with a long pocket chain. @SmackuSer he wasn't he was just saying that will smith doesn't have to cuss to sell records cuz at the time people likes will but not many people liked eminem so cussing was his thing
@infostations Eminem makes fun of Will Smith in his video's but Will Smith is a damn good singer and actor! Eminem still needs acting lessons.. he should ask Will for help :-)
@cantrememberwhy123 You can't say what Em did to Will was dissing it was him calling Will Smith out because he felt Will disrespected almost every rapper who used cussing in a record. If Em was actually dissing Will it would have been a whole other thing, just look at Em's history with diss tracks.
@TheRockingtimeTV "Will Smith don't got a cuss in his raps to sell records....well i do, so fuck him and fuck you too" that's what eminem said in the song "The Real Slim Shady", beginning of the second verse.
@SmackuSer i'd like to think eminem was giving massive respect to will smith with that line, like saying 'the rest of us have to put swear words in our lyrics to sell records - this guy does it so easy, he doesnt have to'
Only time of the year where my name seems to be relevant. >_<; ... Kinda like having this around so that I can feel somewhat party animal'd out when the DJ rips it around fever pitch. Always a positive... although, this year... that Usher song about the DJ will be what this song was at the time.

I remember years ago in 1999 moments before 2000 came, I was with my then girlfriend and her family. I was so freaked out that something was going to happen at midnight, I buried my head in her legs. I clung to her like fly paper to a person's skin. I thought the world was going to shut down or something. I thought a nuclear bomb was going to drop. I thought God himself was going to come and wipe out the world. I was a mess.
@agentbl - The main problem with that theory would be all the different time zones, for example, if New Zealand, Australia, Asia, Europe and the UK all started to disappear one by one, then you might have then had to worry about the possibility of Armageddon happening!
@Cooter3422 Well I did think Arrmagedddon was going to hit at the strike of midnight at the year 2000 because it was like all over the news. People were afraid that their computers was going to shut down. I still admit that I was afraid. I was just telling what happened to me at that time. The only think I worry about now is 2012 because someone said that something's going to happen two years from now. That movie 2012 might be some kind of premonition. I hope to God it's not.
lol, yup. i was just 10 years old back then, and i remember thinking how ridiculous and hilarious all that hype and paranoia was. the best part of the year 2000 finally arriving was that absolutely NOTHING happened. now THAT was funny.
@freshPrincess626 It was! :D I have funny memories of a family friend buying an enormous water keg: 'just in case - at least I'll be prepared' , she said, tapping on the keg significantly :D
You people can't be this dumb saying anyone "ripped off" The Clash. You can't be! This was "sampled" from the clash WITH permission. You think Will would risk a law suit? Idiots! This sounds wayyyyy better and I have heard both in person! Kids today!
i was 7 years old when this came out....loved the tune bak thn and its still sick...even tho he aint the greatest rapper or owt...no doubt thats eminem...but will smith was the person who insired me to rap in the first place

Cooter3422 1 year ago
@Cooter3422 Well I did think Arrmagedddon was going to hit at the strike of midnight at the year 2000 because it was like all over the news. People were afraid that their computers was going to shut down. I still admit that I was afraid. I was just telling what happened to me at that time. The only think I worry about now is 2012 because someone said that something's going to happen two years from now. That movie 2012 might be some kind of premonition. I hope to God it's not.

@poetryrb No. I've never gotten high in my life. I'm not that kind of person to get high. When you do get high, you lose brain cells.

@sunnygirly2k4
lol, yup. i was just 10 years old back then, and i remember thinking how ridiculous and hilarious all that hype and paranoia was. the best part of the year 2000 finally arriving was that absolutely NOTHING happened. now THAT was funny.
freshPrincess626 1 year ago
@freshPrincess626 It was! :D I have funny memories of a family friend buying an enormous water keg: 'just in case - at least I'll be prepared' , she said, tapping on the keg significantly :D

They should update this song every year, just to keep it relevant.

@FOADgamers I can honestly agree with that thing is they'd have other artists do it and someone along the line would wreck it

You people can't be this dumb saying anyone "ripped off" The Clash. You can't be! This was "sampled" from the clash WITH permission. You think Will would risk a law suit? Idiots! This sounds wayyyyy better and I have heard both in person! Kids today!

17shanew 1 year ago
@wostalizna It's called sampling and The Clash got paid for the use, and if they don't mind someone using their music why should you?
