In fact, I think sex education should start at the age of 3; by teaching kids what's a 'good touch' and a 'bad touch' and how they're supposed to react if someone touches them in the wrong place. There are perverts of a very disgusting nature in society and whatever possible should be done to prevent innocent toddlers from becoming victims of such predators. Also, every kid seems to know about such things these days. They need awareness so that they don't 'experiment' and get in grave trouble.

Whats wrong with sex education? Its good they learn from qualified resources rather internet or elsewhere as they will learn it from somewhere.

However, school is sounds like making more that required effort to Westernize the school. They should teach religion from authentic resources.

Sex education is mandatory in the West because they genuinely need it. Just look at England, the rate of teenage pregnancies there has become so outrageous that it's not even funny. So of course they need it, it's part of their culture. If they stop giving this education there, half of Europe would die of AIDS. They need this education to keep their habits in control.

But we don't have that problem in Pakistan, ergo there is no need to teach children these things at the age of 12.

Chances are giving sex education to 12 year old girls in Pakistan (emphasize 'Pakistan') will actually hurt their condition rather than help it.

I mean sex education in 11th and 12th grade make sense, but 6th grade? Come on...

Sex is natural alright, but it should not be abused. It has to be done in a proper way in a marriage relationship, otherwise you'll get what they have in west and africa, STDs, unwanted pregnancies, heartbreaks, divorces, single parents etc... There are so many problems related to free sex society that I can' even list all of them. Islam is absolutely right in restricting its followers to not have sex other than marriage!

Bloody ignorant people, what a hypocritical approach to life and about the things that children should be educated about, the story seems to be presented in a twisted way. There are many authors who have foreign names but they know the religion better than Muslims, hypocrites, we are, so judging a book by the author is not very wise, rather judgmental.
