I would say that a lot of food illness is from people not properly handling their food. People who have backyard gardens, chickens, etc. experience food illnesses there just isn't a way to track it. There is no, home garden inspection agency. Of course with a home garden/food supply, I guess if you screw up your family is the only one who pays the price.

I do not eat any meat that I don't know where it comes from. that means I do not eat beef from walmart or the grocery store that does not say where it come from. Right now I am lucky to be in a town where i get local grassfed beef and buffalo. Otherwise i eat what organic beef i can find. I quit eating shrimp after the gulf oil spill, and seriously don't eat much salmon or raw tuna after fukushima. NEVER does anything from China cross my lips, EVER.

Can't trust them since they have a lot vested in our failure. We need to mercury test our food.... especially that which comes from china.
