  • I can't stop watching this video of Master Stewart. He has really shown me how to really play in the pocket. phrasing is so important to me.

  • View 'Moonlight Serenade' & "All or Nothing At All",in iTunes by Louis Stewart Master Jazz Guitarist .

  • This is amazing! Forget the picture & listen!

  • damn that was the best comping lesson!

  • Peter King is the baddest alto player alive on this planet at this time!!

  • Peter king is a god,

    likin the guitarists compin :)

  • FOUR

  • Since I was the guy who shot this video at the Queens Hall, Edinburgh on 13 March 1987 (with Louis and Pete's permission) I can give the facts. The reason the camera is on Louis most of the time is that I was studying jazz guitar and took this video to try and learn something of Louis's great technique. The camera was on a tripod and aimed at Louis. I sat back and enjoyed the concert. Gordon Wright.

  • Perhaps it's only those of us who are guitarists who would understand and appreciate the camera staying on Louis. All of the alto saxophone students and Pete King fanatics out there are going to disagree though, no doubt...

  • Tks for posting these clips. Good to see Louis get so much exposure to those who have not already heard his genius. Jim

  • I should point out that although I've had this on videotape for years, I am not the person who filmed this concert (nor any of the others I'm sharing). I'll admit it's a little odd to have the camera on Louis so much, but at the same time it's kind of interesting/different. More to come!

  • My apologies Jim R56,I should have re-read what I typed.I realise that it was not you who filmed these clips, and I am extremely grateful to you for sharing them.I have just noticed that you have uploaded some more clips which I look forward to watching. unfortunately i missed the original tape when it was doing the rounds a few years ago. once again Thank you

  • No problem, deangelico. You're most welcome, and I'm glad you're enjoying the clips.

  • great clip, what a pity you could not include Pete also, but being a Guitar player I suppose you had to make a choice. Louis and Pete played so well together and it usually resulted in some fireworks. is there any more from this Concert apart from parts 1&2.Many Thanks
