  • ta gueño el auto....plop

  • Beautiful sound, because no muffler!!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!!

  • @DrFlathead

With the 324diesel crank and 320(130mm) rods your at 2.7litre in the m20b25engine

  • uhh smoke @ the end of the vid .... !!

  • super clean!

  • can someone tell me what the smoke is coming from behind the turbo

  • @gerritbuggenhout

I mean the oil and the residues that remain from the previous assembly. This is a Stardup so oily fingerprints are all still on the exhaust.

  • hey bro asking if u can help me by information 2 make my 320 i turbo i need fullinformation oplz

  • Pm sent

  • Hey man, I love your car. Ive been reading up everything i can on it for a while now. I know your running the td crank but could you PLEASE tell me more about the bottom end, what length rods? (and which brand), what pistons? (how high are the wrist pins) and most importantly what compression ratio are you running???... Are you on any of the e30 forums? Turbo m20 FTW!!!!!!!!!

  • @DrFlathead

hey.. no im not any form, any good suggestion ? i can give you some info but not here :)

  • m20b25,i painted mine the same way:)

  • how much did this setup cost you?

  • nice work

  • Had an Eta bored out to 3.0 with Cartech Turbo set up Real Mustang eater with 4.11 rear end...I had no idea there were so many more out there ....that was the funniest car I ever had!

  • @rekkof hehe sweet :) but 4.11 i the rear, sounds like an rubber burner :)

  • @Karel,

yes it was! Used to freak people out when I was in rush hour traffic and break it loose at 40 MPH and get sideways :)

I will scan some pics and post them...I had Zender wide body (M3) style kit on it, it was a real looker too!

  • @rekkof.. Thats the only way to go :)

sure thing if you find them post them :)

  • sick car man, im currently selling my 87 supra turbo cause im moving to australia, and i plan on buying a e30 there

  • @iNtAlps sweet hope you find a nice e30 :)

  • sweeeeet

  • M20 POWA FTW!!!

  • hahaha.. tell me why ?? !

  • @kare1021 dood seriously ??? are you kidding even if you got it bored and stoked to about 2.7 as for to an m50 to a 3.00 you would have 240hp or so as the m20 you would have 210hp

  • haha its up to each and every one.. the m20 i the orginal engine of the e30.. thats is why is still there.

its got now 726hp.. and that is well enough

  • either that or an s52 drools lol

  • @e34krazy your an idiot!

Nice job Karel, i can't wait to get a turbo on my e30.

  • yore turbo has gone

  • @skibb19 why is that?

  • there is smoke coming from the turbo i have a e30 325 convertabel can u tell me if i can fit a turbo on ther

  • @skibb19 Its the metall and oil that becomes hot. The turbo isnt broken cause of that. Yeah, ofc. But if you dont even know if you can put a turbo on it, you should never do it ;p

  • hehe Thx.. Klasse.. you got it right :)

  • @karel021 What engine-control are you running? MS? Vipec? Autronic?

  • its haltech on it now.. on this spec video it was ms.. but this is like 2 years old vid :)

  • smoke is not good. m20b25 got 172ps...

  • *192

  • not

  • sry i watched quick u said m50.. my bad

  • that fan is HUGE

  • that is not a fan my friend...it s a turbo =)

  • i know its a turbo.....but in all honesty, that's a beautiful machine you have there. own it!

  • bahahhah a fan wat a dumbass

  • thats an m20b25,they're very good, stock has an output of 168 bhp(like mine),but imagine how much does that beauty has!

  • those are for the sparkplugs ;)

  • i saw smoke

  • His oil feed is way to big. that looks like -8an, he should be running -4an or -6an and with -6an he would probably still be pushing oil past his seals

  • must be oil on the heades

  • Very nice

  • sounds like it's cammed too.

  • very clean engine!

would an e30 last about 100.000km if its already has 200.000km ?

  • i dont know km but these motors can go 250,000 miles easily if you take care of them. with a turbo though, thats a different story.

  • yep m40 engines will go on forever

  • My dads e30 which is what i drive sometimes, its a 318i and had like 238,837 *miles and the odometer stopped working along time ago so now it has about 350,000.

But of course its well maintained with regular oil changes, i wash it all the time.

    I really like these cars!!!

We added seats from a 1998 325i they look more sporty they are pretty sick!!!

Ummm So i guess my answer would be yes.

    Cya!!

  • i will be doing a similar build, what management are u using? also did you map from scratch or which base map did u use? thanks

  • Hi what kind of ecu you are using?

im trying to tune my e30 2.7 turbo but very hard....

    thanks

  • very nice! realy cool thing!

  • sounds like its having some trouble staying running. and a massive hole in your exhaust.

  • hehe.. sounds like you dont have a lot of experience of tuning cars with brand new ecu.

first time started.. with new ecu.. zero fuel map zero ignition map. = hard to get stable revs

  • nice come back man ;)

    love the bmw mate :)

  • hey there mate what size turbo are you running?ive got a 325i and am planning t70 turbo, what rev is your turbo spueling up at can i ask?thanks

  • All it sounds like is ideling probs

but that just takes time getting right :D

    nice and clean build though.

  • i need some help...can you give me a site where i can order forged pistons for e30 320i..thanks

  • wonderful sound from engine!

  • Nice set up. What are you running?

  • ok :) cool.

the smoke is from the assembly oil and gasket

  • O man this is a nice bro. My cuz built up 1 from a bad car accident. Wutz up with the light smoking by the turbo? Little oil or somethin?

  • for some reason it sound really, but i bet it sounds kickass standing beside it

  • cool bmw rules

  • hi

can you tell me where can i buy parts(turbo, and stuff)...for my e30 320i...THX:)

  • I love IT!

  • ppl need some help ... can i ask about the ecu system that u used to tuned this e30

    ?? thnx a lot

  • has to be stand alone. factory DME's wont allow for boosted apps

  • Did you drilled a hole in the oil pan for the oil drain? Are you using a electric oil pump of some kind?

Please let me know I can't find a way to do it without drilling a while on the driver side of the oil pan and running a how from the turbo drain to an oil pump which sends the oil to the oil pan. I hope there is an easier way to do it.

    Thanks for the help!

  • just make it easy.. drill an hole in the oil pan.. weld and fitting to it. and run the hose from the turbo drain to the oilpan.. just make the hole in the pan above the oil level.. and let the the drain hose from the turbo be a straight line down

  • I did just that-drilled a hole on the oil pan but it did not worked. Since the m20 engine has this unique engine angle, the oil level is above the oil pan in the left side. I believed that you must have drilled a hole on the engine near the oil pan or something.

  • i drilled it in the front ;)

  • Did you experienced any flow restriction at all? My car is a twin turbo one.

  • hmm well that depends on how thick hose u run right?

  • Got it. Can't really do that since the second turbo has this 45 degree angle on drain side and the oil must be pumped. no matter what. Its a great idea for a single turbo setup..I just have to do it the hard way.

I will be posting a video of my 525i twin turbo automatic soon. I haven't seen one on youtube yet...

Thanks for the help - much appreciated!

  • you need englishd classeses..

  • NICE!

    what turbo/bov combo is that?

  • Not a Bov, it's an external wastegate.

  • ok, so what turbo is it? haha

  • A pretty big one

  • hey I need some help... I am planning on guying a bmw e30 and swapping it with an S50 engine. My question here is where can I get this done, complete with the installation? And where can I pick up an S50 engine? Thanks again.

  • haha..

sorry to laugh.. but if there were crash courses on building a fast car everyone would do it..

    try to use google..

  • ne bu salyangoz takmış aq onu gösterio

  • Sounds just like a Me 109, awesome.

  • why so many cables??? do you have to prgram turbo into CPU or something?

  • hehe.. 6of the blue ones are spark cables and the gray ones are air hoses for the wg,bov and other stuff

  • great machine :)

  • Does anyone know where one can place the turbo oil return hose on this bmw engine?

  • Weld a nut into the Oil container in the bottom om the engine and draw a hose to the turbo. Thats the way i did it.

  • Right. But on what side? I figure you can only tap from the driver side of the oil pan if you want the oil to drain back due to the engine angle. Also, is it gravity based drain or are you running something else to pump the oil?

  • hay ur the guy on the other vid doin burnouts

  • yes it is :)

  • dude help me out with this were it goes all that vacuums lines that u have in the right side also what are those wires that u have in the left side......how u did that

  • Dont need a intercooler? It looks very hot there in the turbo.

  • hello mmm im wondering what u did with the air flow meter????....i saw u took it off the megasquirt ecu have the application to make air/fuel works without the air flow meter?...

i have a m20 also but a couldn't put the turbo yet because im not sure how to install the megasquirt....im new on this but i love e30 car

  • you have the turbo i want, how much did the turbo set up cost? and how psi are you running

  • is this a 2.5 M20 engine ? or this a 3.5 ?

  • 2.5 m20 :)

  • NICE, I'm starting my E30 turbo project and was wondering if I could ask you a few things? I noticed your using a megasquirt ECU with wasted spark setup. . . Did you make a custom wireharness or did you make a ECU adapter, if you made a adapter could you share the wire diagram with me? Thanks for your time.

  • hey.. nice to hear

i made my own harness :)

  • looks like a KKK turbo ?

  • yeah it is.. kkk29

  • Racist!!!!

    ...LOL, just kidding :)

  • haha

  • what camshaft is installed?

  • it is a custom 280degres camshaft

  • looks good so far how mjuch Hp u going for on this one? c ya on Bimmerfest !

    DEFKON

  • hey. my goal is 480-500on the wheels with the original rods and pistons..

    where is the bimmerfest?

  • the forums brotha! yea :D

Very cool! how much Hp do you think the m20 will hold on stock internals?

I know Cardcounter on BFC got his 328 up to 800 i think on stock internals, but thats m52. see ya

  • in california....i live on east coast so its kinda of a hike

  • nice car what computer are you using ?

  • im using megasquirt.

  • Nice video, it sounds just like when I started mine up with the turbo and no exhaust. I was wondering what you did as far as pcv goes? thanks.

  • hi.. explain more exakt what you mean with pcv ? / karel

  • Well I have read that when you turbo the m20 you need to do something with the positive crankcase ventalation system, because running boost on the stock configuration can "boost" your crankcase and blow oil through your seals and cause a lot of blow by.

  • no..if you mean the pipe between the bottom and the head.. then there is no modifications done to it.

  • I am talking about the tube that goes from the valve cover to the throttle body. what i did that seems to work good is to run a hose from the valve cover down the back of the engine as an open dump tube and just block off the port on the throttle body, that way you are not boosting your crankcase. As for the oil drain tube that runs under the intake manifolt to the block I just put rtv gasket material and new o rings on that. it seems to run great. I just ran it at the track last night,

  • Nice lookin set up, love the exhaust. but why was she smoking a lil oil on the exhaust??

  • thx.. its just the downpipe :P.. the smoke is frome the paint on the turbo..
