From what I can tell, you can only see the posts of friends who commented and allow you to see it. You can't see everyone on facebook who has used that word in a post. Yes, you can see the people who may have commented on a post that was made by someone else if you are that person's friend.
I was checking this out and found that not everyone actually see your name there. I checked it out myself and found that there was only one post from one of my friends and right above it was the label "Related Posts by Friends", This is only seen by you.
You can see this on Yahoo News and a few other news sites affiliated with Facebook.
I thought you were going to say it ended up on an interest group outside of Facebook, but I've known about this for a long time. I don't really see how it could put your life in danger though because others can only see that you've been talking about that subject on the interest page IF they are friends with you, which means they have likely already seen that post in your news feed anyway.
I tested this, and confirmed through two friends that though FB tries to associate pages to you based on your possible interest by scanning your posts for keywords, it will still respect your privacy settings.
Did a similar test - I used the keywords 'Muslim Brotherhood' like the OP did - set my post to private only to me. I was able to see, on the Muslim Brotherhood page that I had posted something, but no one else was able to see any info on me whatsoever. Up vote to keep people informed.

Meh, my long post won't post because of the links and amount of words, but basically she has no understanding how Facebook or even her computer works. Just do a quick internet search of your screen name and you will see your comments on a whole bunch of internet sites that has ripped them off of this media. I would recommend that everyone writes a short statement on their pages and Official websites stating that this is the only media that you have any input on and that you have no affiliation to any other media that does not ask for your express permission.

I quit FB about six months ago because they've been doing that and also censoring posts by segregating them to hide them from your complete group of friends.

Your advice about being saved is sound because the people behind this stuff believe in very wicked things. I'll leave it at that. I've known fb, myspace, youtube, google, your ISP, etc. are all gov data collection tools since their inception. This is actually pretty cool because maybe they'll learn something!! These posts ARE NOT showing up on those pages for everyone to see. ONLY YOU can see them. If you look, it says "related posts" so its showing you all the posts with those key words in it. When you click on "friend activity" on the left, it is showing you all your friends posts with that keyword in it. Again, this IS NOT showing up on the groups pages.
@dedpoet777 What makes you think that the owners of the Facebook accounts can't see it? If this is a regular occurrence on FB, then it should be stopped.
Did anybody here actually think that any information on Facebook or the Internet was secure to begin with? Is your problem with the sites you showed up on or just that it showed up in the first place? The anti Muslim movement is rubbish can't you see that hate breeds hate? The people in the middle east have more reason to be anti-west than the west has to be anti-Muslim. We are all human 1 and the same.
however it should be noted that I'm sure whoever created these pages can see everything that someone has posted about their topic, so it's still a serious breach, just not as open to the public as originally thought. If you are homeland security, how convenient to go to your page and see everyone's posts about you.
thanks to the genius of one of my FB friends, we figured out that when you go to these pages, you can only see your own and friend activity if you aren't friends with someone you won't see any activity at all of theirs on these pages. It seems to be a sorting technique that is used.
Last week I checked the site mentioned & my posts & several friends posts were on that site. I didn't want to create more attention or alarm and was not sure how to get the word to them so I guess this vid and others that have been courageous enough to let us know will serve that purpose. Sarah this is one of those new unclaimed sites built by FB that links all the talk on FB to it and will continue to do so until someone claims the site and become the admin. You will notice it only has "Related post by your Friends" and the Description is from Wikipedia.

Facebook uses "Keywords. If you for example use "Muslim" Islam" it will show up. If you use the name Nike-Nikon it will show up on Nikon or Nike as well. Yes we must be careful, but I'll be dammed if I'll shut up about muslim or islam! To hell with them!
I think the reason you're seeing these posts is because you're friends with these people. If your friend has her account set to "friends of friends" that could also be why you're seeing someone else's updates. If you were to see that page on another account the same people wouldn't show up unless you're friends with them. It's just telling you what you or friends have commented on, since they think you want to know what your friends are talking about 24-7. Perhaps this is what's going on?

F...B is becoming a social and security failure in its duty of care for its users. The fact that comments come from closed groups where F..b settings by default are to only members of that group can read the posts. By rights and its possible that in international laws that this is a drastic security breach on the part of this profit making social network experiment.
What is worrying me is how many people will this lack of duty of care put in danger.

@pbassette1 You're welcome! You know, I also noticed that MB took down their logo that was a green circle with crossed swords and a Koran in the middle. It happened right after we started catching wind of it and a bunch of people started checking out the warning I told them about. However, I did manage to copy and save that original warning post which includes a pic of that logo along with another warning from someone else. It on my computer in a Word file, hehehehe!

my friends and I have been playing around with options in FB, there seems to be no way to stop this from happening and it happens with just about anything. For example I posted a Rhianna vid and I ended up on her page under the Friends activity, despite my not being a member on her page. Anything that you talk about that has a page will show up on the page. Example I also showed up on the Flouride page as well.
The reason that your friends post was able to be copied & pasted is because she didn't have her fb settings secure and neither do you. I recommend that everyone go through each and every link of their account and security settings. Allow only the people you wish will see what you want them to. Even on your info tab. You have an option to allow no one, friends, friends of friends or public to see things on your page. You can even prevent people from contacting you. Learn Security, DUH
@priestesskandiranson actually that doesn't work, my friends and I have been playing around with the security, there is no way to stop your posts from showing up on the pages and they will show up on any page if there is one that your post has a topic on. For example if you post a Lady Gaga vid, your post will show up on Lady Gaga page as well as on your wall. Test it out, it's pretty freaky.
@lhverriet I beg to differ. The only way that a video you post to your fb pg will show up on anyone elses wall is if you tag that person or page. Why don't you give it a try! Go to my profile and see what you see. They don't show up on other people's walls, but it's the pages. Check out Homeland Security, Rhianna, Muslim, Fluoride, Smart Meters. I'm on all of those pages and I did not friend, like, or tag any of these. My entire discussion on this happening is on the Muslim page. I don't know why you are so angry with me about this.

@divinepromise how do things get added to community pages without your awareness? It must have something to do with the way people have their FB set up. Alot of people don't understand security settings.
@lhverriet I was just pointing out that it's not a specific group. But yes, if you have your updates public, they can be seen by everyone searching for the keywords. If you set everything to private, then it's not the case. The only reason you see your friends posting about it is because they've allowed you to see their updates in the first place. THAT said, you still shouldn't post anything compromising because people are being monitored by others.
I think this might be a hoax of some sort, or maybe it depends on a persons settings on their account. I don't see all of the posts she is talking about on the FB site.
@lhverriet - there is a box in your account settings that FB automatically checks, you have to UNCHECK it to keep your posts from being shared by FB. I went to a page on a group I'm in and many of my friends were on the homeland security wall! They didn't like it but hs picked them up because of buzz words.

The infamous Muslim Brotherhood community page is making the rounds again.
It's not MB spy software targeting the anti-Jihadis. It has no connection to the Brotherhood. It's just a feature of Facebook called a "community page".
I just tried it out, and yes it showed up on the "muslim brotherhood" page but because of my security settings, it would only be visible there to my friends.

A friend posted something about the muslim brotherhood 2 days ago and it was giving all her friends a warning as to be careful what you post. She still had a few post on down the line I brought to her attention, as well as myself, and removed them immediately. This sucks how they lump every thing together that is along the same topic status with out most of us thinking about it. The privacy of each person is getting worse daily and each time fb changes its lay out, we get exposed more as well.
All these pages have a "Friends+1" activity set up you can see it on the LHS of their pages. It can be done by anyone, just change the spelling of the words when you type them.

Although facebook is notorious about resetting your privacy settings. gotta make sure to keep resetting them every month or so

These posts ARE NOT showing up on those pages for everyone to see. ONLY YOU can see them. If you look, it says "related posts" so its showing you all the posts with those key words in it. When you click on "friend activity" on the left, it is showing you all your friends posts with that keyword in it. Again, this IS NOT showing up on the groups pages.

however it should be noted that I'm sure whoever created these pages can see everything that someone has posted about their topic, so it's still a serious breach, just not as open to the public as originally thought. If you are homeland security, how convenient to go to your page and see everyone's posts about you.

thanks to the genius of one of my FB friends, we figured out that when you go to these pages, you can only see your own and friend activity if you aren't friends with someone you won't see any activity at all of theirs on these pages. It seems to be a sorting technique that is used.

Last week I checked the site mentioned & my posts & several friends posts were on that site. I didn't want to create more attention or alarm and was not sure how to get the word to them so I guess this vid and others that have been courageous enough to let us know will serve that purpose. May be nothing but just in case, we have a right to know. Why are they tracking us anyway? Should we turn it back on them or at least make it very unfriendly or hostile for them to do so? Any ideas?

Sarah this is one of those new unclaimed sites built by FB that links all the talk on FB to it and will continue to do so until someone claims the site and become the admin. You will notice it only has "Related post by your Friends" and the Description is from Wikipedia.

Facebook uses "Keywords. If you for example use "Muslim" Islam" it will show up. If you use the name Nike-Nikon it will show up on Nikon or Nike as well. Yes we must be careful, but I'll be dammed if I'll shut up about muslim or islam! To hell with them!

I think the reason you're seeing these posts is because you're friends with these people. If your friend has her account set to "friends of friends" that could also be why you're seeing someone else's updates. If you were to see that page on another account the same people wouldn't show up unless you're friends with them. It's just telling you what you or friends have commented on, since they think you want to know what your friends are talking about 24-7. Perhaps this is what's going on?

F...B is becoming a social and security failure in its duty of care for its users. The fact that comments come from closed groups where F..b settings by default are to only members of that group can read the posts. By rights and its possible that in international laws that this is a drastic security breach on the part of this profit making social network experiment.
What is worrying me is how many people will this lack of duty of care put in danger.

It happened right after we started catching wind of it and a bunch of people started checking out the warning I told them about. However, I did manage to copy and save that original warning post which includes a pic of that logo along with another warning from someone else. It on my computer in a Word file, hehehehe!

If YT didn't make it so difficult to post links, I'd point you all to the FB help page that explains what it is and how it works.
It's nothing but a feature to make it easy to find what your friends are saying about a topic, and is NOT a security exposure - any more than FB itself, but that can be handled by account settings.

my friends and I have been playing around with options in FB, there seems to be no way to stop this from happening and it happens with just about anything. For example I posted a Rhianna vid and I ended up on her page under the Friends activity, despite my not being a member on her page. Anything that you talk about that has a page will show up on the page. Example I also showed up on the Flouride page as well.

The reason that your friends post was able to be copied & pasted is because she didn't have her fb settings secure and neither do you. I recommend that everyone go through each and every link of their account and security settings. Allow only the people you wish will see what you want them to. Even on your info tab. You have an option to allow no one, friends, friends of friends or public to see things on your page. You can even prevent people from contacting you. Learn Security, DUH

@priestesskandiranson actually that doesn't work, my friends and I have been playing around with the security, there is no way to stop your posts from showing up on the pages and they will show up on any page if there is one that your post has a topic on. For example if you post a Lady Gaga vid, your post will show up on Lady Gaga page as well as on your wall. Test it out, it's pretty freaky.

Go to my profile and see what you see. They don't show up on other people's walls, but it's the pages. Check out Homeland Security, Rhianna, Muslim, Fluoride, Smart Meters. I'm on all of those pages and I did not friend, like, or tag any of these. My entire discussion on this happening is on the Muslim page. I don't know why you are so angry with me about this.

@lhverriet I was just pointing out that it's not a specific group. But yes, if you have your updates public, they can be seen by everyone searching for the keywords. If you set everything to private, then it's not the case. The only reason you see your friends posting about it is because they've allowed you to see their updates in the first place. THAT said, you still shouldn't post anything compromising because people are being monitored by others.

@lhverriet - there is a box in your account settings that FB automatically checks, you have to UNCHECK it to keep your posts from being shared by FB. I went to a page on a group I'm in and many of my friends were on the homeland security wall! They didn't like it but hs picked them up because of buzz words.

A friend posted something about the muslim brotherhood 2 days ago and it was giving all her friends a warning as to be careful what you post. She still had a few post on down the line I brought to her attention, as well as myself, and removed them immediately. This sucks how they lump every thing together that is along the same topic status with out most of us thinking about it. The privacy of each person is getting worse daily and each time fb changes its lay out, we get exposed more as well.

All these pages have a "Friends+1" activity set up you can see it on the LHS of their pages. It can be done by anyone, just change the spelling of the words when you type them.
