I've never seen the original 1960s series but this 1980s series is the one I grew up with. This episode in particular stands out for me. Loved the concepts in this series. Even though dubbed into English I think the Japanese flavour comes through. Extremely enjoyable all these years later.

I wish the Canadian dub would find its way to youtube, this is the Australian dub, the writing wasn't as good, the character names were different and the voice actors sucked, however, it was uncut and had all the sweet violence that the Canadian version never had.

WHAT THE FUCK? the version i seen when i was a kid his name wasn't BRUTON it was COMNTERK...(com-n-turk). and thats not all. the voice actor's were different and so was the script, Characters names are even changed! At the end of every episode astro would play a game with the kids at home. He would tell the story of what just happened in the episode and change one of the facts, the idea was to pick out that part.

the doctors name wasn't Elephant it was Peabody.
