Carl Sagen is missed bye myself. I did not always agree with him, but I never really disagreed with him either. His thoughts and views were always an inspiration to me. There is so much that human beings do not understand, and his efforts to understand lend creedence to the words of Jesus "Let those with eyes see.".
the ones talking shit about Carl are literally ignorant, fucking retards. Im sure you people have NO CLUE about his history of life, and Dwight Yoakam is also a VERY smart person, and of course im sure noneof you talking shit no anything of him as well.

I really like Carl Sagan, but I don't understand him not understanding people wanting to feel good, rather then logically thinking about stuff like religoin
I mean I'm serious, why make yourself unhappy if you can make yourself feel good in thinking about death.
I see no reason why Carl Sagan would be unhappy about death. I believe he had achieved a stillness in mind that few people can maintain for long periods of time. Even his passionate arguments ring with serenity and a peace. What a beautiful mind to lose prematurely.
I read his books when I was a teen and watched his Cosmos episodes, I learn a lot from him though the years growing up about Science and the possibilities of things not yet discovered. Carl Sagan was a delight to watch and listen to...I'll miss him, God rest my freind.
What a great and humble man... So sad that he's no longer with us... We could do with his wise words in the religion gone nuts World we are living in today... 'The Demon Haunted World' is a classic.
Back in '90 I read an interview with Dwight in which he discussed -- at great length and with surprising mastery of detail -- the Celtic/Appalachian roots of Country music. He's a very well-read and articulate man, in addition to being a terrific songwriter and riveting performer.

Are you assuming he was unhappy? The man was an amazing scientist and writer. He lived based on evidence, and that feels pretty good.

I forgot about "Shine". Rush looks much different in "House on Haunted Hill" and the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies.
Mel Gibson got mugged, I think, before his screen test and got picked mostly because of his roughed up look. That's what I heard.

Geoffrey Rush is such an incredible actor. I fell in love with him when I saw his performance in Les Miserables. Such a well spoken intelligent man.

Hey, am I nuts or does Dwight -- once divested of his cowboy chapeau -- look like a skinnier Johnny Bench?

Dwight Yoakum has a terrific brain under his scalp! He's got 2 big ones for going on national t.v. 1/3 balding. THATS a real man and great artist.

wonderful interview with Carl Sagan. His voice always had a soothing quality. The Cosmos was classic TV. Greatly missed.

Dwight is a sobering minimalist.....listen carefully, he is a great poet and coming up on being a great actor.

Shit! I didn't know Geoffrey Rush lived with Mel Gibson. He was probably less anti-semitic back then.
