@XboobtubeX Hey, Bob! They did have sequential turn signals as well as the Tbirds of the era as I remember. However, they were more complicated than the current electronic type on the 10 and 11 Mustangs. When these older models control box failed, it was definitely a problem. Thanks! :) Jack
Jack, you found my favorite 60s pony car. If you wanted a more luxurious Mustang or a sportier T-Bird this one filled the bill. I think the 60s was Mercury's golden age, they were doing so many things just right. The paint, chrome and top on this one looks A-1.
@cheddyrod Hey, Chester! Glad I found it! Mercury was filled with a separate indentity even though it may have shared the assembly line with another model...they had the secret to continued existence...a loyal fan base eager to see the next model! Thanks! :) Jack
Nice car Jack; it's too bad Ford had to stop making any Mercury products anymore as they don't have anything to fill the gap between Ford and Lincoln. Seems like we get a poor choice on any american built cars anymore so many makes like Mercury, Rambler, Pontiac Oldsmobile Plymouth are all gone now.
@monarch1957 Hey, Barry! That is so true...Mercury missed the boat when they permitted this car to become a rebadged and slightly upscale Ford. Meanwhile, Ford vehicles themselves became more varied and filled with features that made them more deluxe, and, for the top of the line, more expensive. So I think Mercury was squeezed out of the spectrum from Ford to Lincoln. Each of those brands you mention has a wonderful history, with memorable cars..it is a tragedy! Thanks! :) Jack
@Seattlecarnut Hey, Jason! I think Ford figured that with the Mustang and Cougar, they pretty much had the market covered...with the Cougar aimed at the more affluent market, altho a fully loaded Mustang could be quite expensive! Thanks! :) Jack
Jack...did they have the sequential turn signals?

@raconter1 yea for sure. it was a lot of relays and contacts I believe. today's electronic ones are a lot less to maintain for sure.

Nice looking car. Although I'm not a Ford guy, I'd prefer this over the Mustang of similar vintage. I also like the colour on this car.
