You do that Mexicans aren't the only ones who do quinces? Other places have the Spanish coulture Witch includes quinces! This is exsactly why I hate sertain Mexicans the ones that think there the oknly ones with the Spanish coulture! I'm salvadorian and I'm having a 15, have a problem??

@escandelosa I have yet to see a traditional quinceanera. Don't get technical, sir. Most quinceaneras that are held in the US are non-traditional. You're just hung up on the fact that it wasn't in Spanish. However, if you choose to sleep with ignorance than that is your prerogative.

My heritage is half Trini and half Panamanian. It was in English because half of my family doesn't speak or understand Spanish. It was not meant to be a celebration of a traditional Quince but to celebrate my 15th birthday while embracing the cultures that I was raised with. If you meant to ask if we are African American, the answer is no (as far as my family goes), but we are black. There is a difference and there are many blacks who have Quinces.
