You don't realize how exceptional Willie was until you look around and no one has stepped up to replace him, or few even try. Like all the great Chicago bluesmen once they are gone, they're gone. Fortunately Guy King is carrying the blues torch well with a few other new blood blues men working in Chicago.

I lived in the Chicago area back in the early 90's and every Wednesday night was Willie Kent & The Gents @ Blue Chicago. Great band. Back then it was Willie Davis on guitar with Jake Dawson along with Kenny and Pete and Willie. Awesome guys! Great memories. thanks for posting this vid!!

Thanks for the awesome footage! Willie's music will truly live on. A few months ago I visited Chicago for the first time. Checked out Willie's strongholds - B.L.U.E.S. and Blue Chicago. He remains one of my favorite starting five players in blues.
