@lapetitebatman Cute, except they're the ones that don't want to embrace the country. It's like someone tells you he hates terrorists in a given country and you tell him he should try to understand them haha
The Bloc is only for Quebec not Canada as a whole so maybe the rest of us Canadians should quit paying taxes if they get in and Alberta should take their oil and gas, Sask should take their potash,NWT should take there gold and uranium mines and the rest of the provinces should separate from Quebec either that or send them home to France oh yeah that's right France doesn't want you either.

the bloc Quebecois is a stupid and pointless party. All parties running in a federal election should be represented in every riding. The bloc Quebecois are not, they are a separatist unconstitutional party. The most unCanadian political party because they don't give a fuck about the rest of Canada. FUCK the BLOC they will NEVER win.
@dirkshrubb I agree with you for the point that the bloc will never win in the way you think (lead the Canada). It is not because they are not enough popular, it is because the aren't any mp outside Quebec. The goal of the Bloc is not to lead, it is to be at the government and be against project and laws thar will affect the Quebec negatively. so stop saying fuck the Bloc and understand the reason why they are there. And write in french on a french video i guess you didnt understood the video.
They are saying it: together were stronger, were different. I think that we are stronger with the rest of Canada than only the province. This song has no sens, I think separatist only think to themselves. From a french canadian.
Great song, but Quebec sovereigntists don't realise how lucky they are. Quebec pretty much has the best of both worlds, all the benefits of independence (because of the level of autonomy it has) and all the benefits of being part of a larger country. The way some sovereigntists talk about Canada, you'd think that Quebec was like East Timor was under Indonesian occupation. Thankfully Canada is a loose federation and a democracy, not a centralised unitary state.
this party is a treasonous joke. If you dont like a UNIFIED by MAJORITY canada then pack your bags and go to france. you people are a joke and stand for nothing but your selfish needs. Since you'll never succeed in your goal that fact that most of quebecers dont want you too, the CF should snatch all you idiots and either shoot you dead or throw you in the ocean.
Since you guys dont believe in Canadian culture and dont want to be canadian then you shouldnt have our freedoms.
@BumJuiceDrinker I am not a seperatist but I can tell you that we deserve independance, 90% of our pop. is french, and stephen harper doesn't even speak it.
@ixTRISSTANxi 90%percent of you speaking french and 90 percent of you wanting to seperate are two dfferent things, go move to france canada is one land and always will be if you dont like it tough shit
FUCK THE BLOC!
... Dans une dimension parallèle...
The Province of Quebec should have both English and French as Official Languages. Both English and French should be Languages of the Government and Courts of the Province of Quebec. English and French Cultures and Languages should be Equal under the law and recieve the same rights and priviliges. Bill 101 (Charter of the French Language) must be replaced by Bill 199 (Charter of the French and English Languages). Quebec should be like New Brunswick in Language Model.
Yah ..we couldn't have any of that pesky freedom allowing people to express different views, and certainly not anything like secession checking tyranny. Sacre bleu, say it ain't so!
Quebec people don't realize how lucky they are to live in Quebec,, go to Toronto and see how they have no culture, just immigrants from everywhere who have no love for each other,, I am anglophone and I hope Quebec separates from Canada, I love Montreal and don't want to see it become like vancouver or Toronto. I want to live with Quebec culture and values, not chinese, arab, african, haitian or any other,, this is my home and the only home I have.
lapetitebatman: They took the land from our fathers, and our fathers' fathers, and from our fathers' fathers' fathers. And what have THEY ever given US in return?
Fair points, I totally understand your motivation to protect your culture and language, I really encourage it actually. Don't get me wrong, I don't hate Quebec or french or anything, I love it actually, and have spent the past 3 years trying to learn it. I get just annoyed by English canadians who say that they hate Quebec as I do by seperatists. I really like that your culture is part of my country, what is so terrible about having English culture be part of yours?
I do want to embrace my country and have it be united, hence why I have little patience for those who seek to go against that. I completely understand your motivations for seperation, what I don't undersand is what is wrong with a compromise. We have compromised, given Quebec control over many systems other provinces do not have (immigration, court systems, etc). Seperatists have flat out rejected that and just want more, flying in the face of the efforts of millions of english canadians.
Whatever the compromise, we just don't fit. I always compare Quebec and Canada as a couple who doesn't get along together. Our laws, our culture is not compatible. As "lapetitebatman" said, The Supreme Court recently invalidated a part of the bill 101, who is fundamental to protect french in Quebec. Moreover, the canadian multiculturalism is in contradiction with our "interculturalisme", so it brings problems with immigrants here.
Tourists are fine with "Bienvenue"; if you're traveling to a French speaking place you should be able to recognize that word. Putting up "Welcome" signs everywhere just makes a place look shallow and corny.

LOL Fucking Losers of Quebec, that is mean, but it's hella clever.
Anyway, I have studied French for 7 years so far and am almost fluent. But regardless of this, everytime I go to Quebec I am treated like shit because I am from Ontario. We aren't mean to Quebecers here in Ontario. Instead of blaming all of your problems on Anglophones, maybe you should try doing something constructive. Plus, the Aboriginals have clearly had it worse than anyone else in Canada.
so it's a contest? who has had it worse? i don't blame french canadians for not liking anglophones. and you've studied for 7 years and fluent? t'es menteuse.
Why would I be lying? I just feel like using past grieviances to open up new wounds today just isn't constructive. Forgive and move on. I was only using the Aboriginals as an example of a minority group who have been able to make such amends.
You just don't understand the point because you hate us. And it's obvious you don't want to understand. People like you are a great reason for us to have our own country for our own nation!!!!! Keep your Canada, english, centralised and intolerand to french, aboriginals, immigrants, closed-minded and bigot for mosts parts.
It seems you do understand either. Quebec does NOT have the human rights record to point a finger at the rest of the country. No province does. Human rights have been and will be a slow move forward with different provinces failing at different times. The problem with the Bloc is they think Habitant Heritage is only Quebec heritage, what about the Acadians, or Les Franco-Ontarien. Franco-Canadian heritage expands outside Quebec. Number two the Bloc lies. Sovereignty Association
cont.. will never happen. Lastly because of the lies and rhetoric coming from the Bloc we have taken our eyes off the real social problems and we now have the second weakest social safety net in the industrialized world. Because of Gilles Duceppe Canadian children will die young do to hunger, poverty, and social inequities we could have stopped 20 years ago. the Bloc kills.
Oh!
NDP has no power because all t5he social dem. in Quebec vote bloc, so MPs have to vote to get re-elected, if the bloc weren't there this would not be the case..just saying :)
And if you believe it's facism, what of the absences in many region in Canada of french schools? (Of course, french canadians are fighting to get those schools, for example in PEI where I spent a year).
The problem is english canadians are a fraid of there own shadow, and bloc never speaks of language equality, it speaks of french supremacy which scares english canadians. If we all could embrase language equality the problem would end. Je suis un Franco-Ontarien I know about the shortage of french schools, but loi 101 is making the fight harder for us. Equality and choice for the poeple is what we need a deserve, not special rights and not the anglo-franco pissing match
I guess it kinda make sense if you see Canada as your country.

The FLQ were a terrorist organisation, but of course, only a mean person would take their title and turn it into Fucking Losers of Quebec. so, oui, j'ai envie de rester au un pays avec quelqu'un comme lui, qui aimes le Canada et detestes les seperatistes. You don't have to stay here. Excuse my french, i'm just trying to show that i don't hate Quebec and am actually trying to embrace what i think is an amazing part of my country by learning its language. maybe you should try something similar

is it really so horrible being french in canada? whats the point of seperating, just would be a pain in the ass for everybody. it really just seems that you seperatists just want to piggy back off our economy but have no other connection?
We are learning your language, put it everywhere, and make countless accomodations to account for the fact that you are a different culture. We have made so many concessions whereas you seperatists refuse to budge. FUCK YOU and FUCK OFF

u guys are frances garbage get it straight fuk the block party fuck dion and fuck the rest of u that think they should sepearate without alberta and b.c u guys would be shit
So, tubesteak101, why don't you get yourself knowledge ? You really did'nt find anything else than " they smell like fish and shit" to insult the separatists ?
T'as vraiment de "bons arguments" tu sais?

and like I said, the English-Canadians could have forced you guys to give up your French background just as the Americans did to their former French territory (Michigan-->Louisiana). But you know what, we were nice enough to let you keep your culture. So be happy that we can continue to celebrate our differences today.
oh, mon dieu. You guys have no idea how lucky we treated you guys compared to the way the Americans have always treated their French.
Their French were not even allowed to speak their own language anymore. We let you practice your culture and language even to this day.
That little area in the States that you see in between Michigan and Louisiana could have been speaking French too, but they weren't as tolerant and made them assimilate into American culture.
yeah but did u forget that at the beginning they had tried to force them to learn english but failed so they gave up. even if the US dint make it a law most ppl would had still forgotten french since most would go were the job are and learn their language anyway
Thank you to let us speak french! English Canada is so virtuous and mercyfull. We ought you so much. We need to stop seeking more powers from Ottawa in order to keep the statu quo lol
French Canadians are great people, I lived there for a while and I am Australian, but the people no longer favour the 'Bloc' they are moving on with their lives, and good for them, the Pari Quebecois and Bloc are losing support because the people are no longer repressed or discriminated they are equal Canadian Citizens. Vive Le Canada!
I'm sorry but you've guys have had you're chance and Quebec did not want to separate. So from now on try to make Quebec better as a nation/province from now on.

I like french people in general, they are good law abiding citizens but this block quebecois is an insult to them and everyone else. When are they going to realize that it's costed the province of Quebec 1 trillion dollars almost since Rene Levesque in investment and more. The funny thing is, is that they are attracting french speaking arabs from North Africa and pretty soon it will be here like it is in France maybe worse. You'll wish you never made the good English Speaking people in 10 years.
Quebec is not French. Quebec will always be Anglophone territory. Just because their is a French majority in Quebec does not mean Quebec is Francophone territory. Kosovo is a mainly majority Albanian province but it is part of Serbia. Quebec is the Kosovo of Canada.
Beware Quebecois you cant win against the might of the Royal Canadian Armed Forces if you declare UDI.
You are lucky that the British did not expell you like they should have.

I wish that Emperor Napoleon III bought Alaska instead of America. I think that the situation in Quebec would have been diferant because the Quebecois would have moved from Quebec to Alaska. Alaska would have suited the Quebecois far better becuase like Alaska the Quebecois are cold.
Alaska under French rule could have been called New Acadia and would have been the promise land to the Quebecois Frogs.
Quebecois like it or not Quebec belongs to Anglophone Canada and you are guests.
couldnt have said it better. wolfe beat montecalm so we wouldnt have to listen to the quebecois wine and bitch... nothin wrong with quebec, im glad they are part of canada, but i want to give duceppe a good anglo-canadian ass kicking
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
We are the French. We rule anywhere we are. Quebec is French just like England was once Norman. Guess what, most quebecers migrated from Normandy. Just a matter before my French brethrens of Quebec break the chain and tyranny and free themselves from an inferior race. They just have to form a rightwing party like the FN instead of the socialist shit that is the BQ.
The British should have kicked out all the Quebecois like they did to the Acadians after they won the French and Indian War in 1763. Quebec belongs to the Anglophones because General Wolfe defeated the Marqiess the Motcolm on the Plains of Abraham. Quebec belongs to Canada and that is final if they Quebecois dont like it they can hop on a boat to go France, Switzerland or Belgium.
I advice many Anglophones to move to Quebec and gradually make the Quebecois a minority.
vive le Quebec vive le Republique. Ti syn twp ti meddwl ti gwibbod bob a ti dimm orwerhydd ti'n sanction un rwydi'n dimm yn gwibbod ond rwydi'n meddwl mae Quebcois easau independance - Give it to them! if they fail they fail.
maybe, then Wolfe defeat Montcalm, but it's not because of this then the Québec belongs to english people. Look Corea and Algery, those two countries are oldest french colonize and it,s not because the french army are win the war ro conquere those country then now it's belongs to french people.
Or look the Tibet, it's not because the Tibet it underthe power of military china, that they mean then Tibet it's a part of China. And a déportation is not the good think to do, because if the Canada do this, he will be in the "marde".
If you don't know, the British-Columbia and the Alberta are made, this years, a referendum to go out of the Canada, so, we are not the one province who desire the separation.
If you're so proud of your petty Anglophone culture, I advise you to learn your own language first. You can't even write. Try reading a page of a book a day; maybe this will help you educate yourself. You're welcome.
yn fy gwlad ni genni un "separatist movment" ydwi "Plyd Cymry" a "Sons of Glwyn Dwr" mae nhw'n yn yr plenywm yn Cymru 45% o y mae plenywn "plyd cyrmry" C'est Merde!
in my county we also have a separatist movment called plyd cymru or Party for wales they are in the Welsh plenwym (parliment) and have 45% i think, i am not sure what the % is in british parliment but its pretty irritaing all the same. if we separate form mainland Britain we are screwed only the Euro would keep stuff working!
Only in Canada will you have a Political Party in Federal Caucus who's main intention is to tear the country apart.
Can't the Bloc be considered Democratic Nationalists? (Somewhat Communist, cause I think their attitude is very similar to somewhat of the Soviet attitude)
you guys are such losers you guys know that quebec is in debt and Canada is paying it off. Without us you guys would not be able to pay off the debt. And you guys would suffer fianacially for 10 to 20 years. You guys think Canada is so bad and different but thats politics you think if quebec is a nation it is going to be different. And did you know quebec would not be able to have medicare because taxes would be too high. And I live in Quebec. I am a pround canadian for life!
1 think: to make a nation, we have to have a different, our culture and our history. So you are english, we are french, we have a different culture then you and Québec history is not the same of the rest of the Canada.
What let you think then the taxe would be to high when we will separete? We have more taxe, because we have to pay 2 taxes, one for the canada, like the other province, and one for the Québec.
Quebec sucks. This is North America, learn the language! In America, and in any real country, secession = treason and is rewarded with a death penalty. These crybabies need some tanks rolling down their streets to set them straight.
HAHAHAHA non merci asti danglais sale tu peux te torcher ak ton anglais mais ds lfond tu doit po savoir quesque jecrit pcq ta pas apprit le fracais pauvre inculte donque continue a manger du weendy pis creve U FUCK !!!!
I can see how classy you frenchmen are. Notice which of us had to resort to cursing. And I don't speak dog, so I'll ignore most of your gibberish. And I thought your most popular English phrase was actually "We Surrender".
I think put of the problem is that english Canadian apply France steroetypes and use jokes along those lines. The Quebecois have their own history, culture and traditions and I as a Canadian from Ontario I recongnize that. I still think that those differences add to our country and it is my hope that no one ever takes that away.
When Quebecois talk about separation they talk about their project of a french teritorry (simply a dream). When Canadians talk about Quebec separation all you hear is , FUC*ING Frogs, Racists, Nazis, and all other insults that actually maintain this feeling of noninclusion. Canada became independent in 1867, USA in 1783 (because of a tax on tea!!!) and many other countries did the same(soon Scotland, but they speak english so it wont bother you i guess), what is so terribly wrong with dreaming?
When dreaming rips a nation apart; when dreaming separates families from each other; when dreaming alienates a minority; when dreaming forces people to join a new nation because 50% =1 decided so then dreaming is terribly wrong.
Glad to hear...as for alienated minorities 2% french speaking people in North America qualifies i think...manipulative politicians made you beleive french canadians are a majority in Quebec in order to make anglo quebecer look like they are treated like a mistreated minority, forget that,,
...this would be like telling Innus in Qualuit tha t they are a majority and that they should stop complaining and mistreating the white minotity in the process of protecting their own identity and culture....
...This act made Frenh Canadians(called simply Canadiens before this) British Citizens by force and beleive me that French were far more than 50%+1 not wanting this especially after The British had just finished the CLEANUP . burning and destroying farms and separating famillies..forcing many to exile (1755 and after)...
In my heart and mind. I have worked in Quebec for a time now. I love Quebec and hope it never leaves Canada. The first chance I get, I will take course to learn french so I can tell Quebecois in both official languages that I love Quebec and that Canada would not be the same without Quebec.
As long as Quebec separatism does not descend into an Ireland like state, I will accept the result of a clear referendum. I hope both sides never use force to achieve their means.

And write in french on a french video i guess you didnt understood the video.

pouyt58 11 months ago
Bonne vie mec.

I really like that your culture is part of my country, what is so terrible about having English culture be part of yours?
flamesforever 2 years ago
I do want to embrace my country and have it be united, hence why I have little patience for those who seek to go against that. I completely understand your motivations for seperation, what I don't undersand is what is wrong with a compromise. We have compromised, given Quebec control over many systems other provinces do not have (immigration, court systems, etc). Seperatists have flat out rejected that and just want more, flying in the face of the efforts of millions of english canadians.
flamesforever 2 years ago
@flamesforever
Why should we persist if it's not solvable?

Sorry but quebec sucks. I live here and put up a sign saying "welcome" for the tourists and you get fined.
911fox123 2 years ago
carlairving 2 years ago
Which is ridiculous.
911fox123 2 years ago

LOL Fucking Losers of Quebec, that is mean, but it's hella clever.
Anyway, I have studied French for 7 years so far and am almost fluent. But regardless of this, everytime I go to Quebec I am treated like shit because I am from Ontario. We aren't mean to Quebecers here in Ontario. Instead of blaming all of your problems on Anglophones, maybe you should try doing something constructive. Plus, the Aboriginals have clearly had it worse than anyone else in Canada.
SarahLee1 2 years ago
so it's a contest? who has had it worse? i don't blame french canadians for not liking anglophones. and you've studied for 7 years and fluent? t'es menteuse.

Why would I be lying? I just feel like using past grieviances to open up new wounds today just isn't constructive. Forgive and move on. I was only using the Aboriginals as an example of a minority group who have been able to make such amends.

carlairving 2 years ago
It seems you do understand either. Quebec does NOT have the human rights record to point a finger at the rest of the country. No province does. Human rights have been and will be a slow move forward with different provinces failing at different times. The problem with the Bloc is they think Habitant Heritage is only Quebec heritage, what about the Acadians, or Les Franco-Ontarien. Franco-Canadian heritage expands outside Quebec. Number two the Bloc lies. Sovereignty Association
KevinBrault 2 years ago

And if you believe it's facism, what of the absences in many region in Canada of french schools? (Of course, french canadians are fighting to get those schools, for example in PEI where I spent a year).
carlairving 2 years ago
c'est sa! Equality and choice for the poeple is what we need a deserve, not special rights and not the anglo-franco pissing match

likemikey93 3 years ago
soren666 3 years ago

oh, mon dieu.
So, please stop complaining.
likemikey93 3 years ago
soren666 3 years ago

French Canadians are great people, I lived there for a while and I am Australian, but the people no longer favour the 'Bloc' they are moving on with their lives, and good for them, the Pari Quebecois and Bloc are losing support because the people are no longer repressed or discriminated they are equal Canadian Citizens. Vive Le Canada!

LONG LIVE A UNITED CANADA AND AN ANGLO-QUEBEC.

TemplarX2 3 years ago
The British should have kicked out all the Quebecois like they did to the Acadians after they won the French and Indian War in 1763. Quebec belongs to the Anglophones because General Wolfe defeated the Marqiess the Motcolm on the Plains of Abraham. Quebec belongs to Canada and that is final if they Quebecois dont like it they can hop on a boat to go France, Switzerland or Belgium.
I advice many Anglophones to move to Quebec and gradually make the Quebecois a minority.
QUEBEC IS ENGLISH.

vive le Quebec vive le Republique.

Look Corea and Algery, those two countries are oldest french colonize and it,s not because the french army are win the war ro conquere those country then now it's belongs to french people.
soren666 3 years ago
Or look the Tibet, it's not because the Tibet it underthe power of military china, that they mean then Tibet it's a part of China. And a déportation is not the good think to do, because if the Canada do this, he will be in the "marde".
If you don't know, the British-Columbia and the Alberta are made, this years, a referendum to go out of the Canada, so, we are not the one province who desire the separation.
soren666 3 years ago
And if you don't like then the Québec is french, sorry but you have to "enduré ça" because it,s not tomorrow then this will change.
soren666 3 years ago
@RoyalistCavalier
If you're so proud of your petty Anglophone culture, I advise you to learn your own language first. You can't even write. Try reading a page of a book a day; maybe this will help you educate yourself. You're welcome.

I am a pround canadian for life!
espoaest 4 years ago
1 think: to make a nation, we have to have a different, our culture and our history. So you are english, we are french, we have a different culture then you and Québec history is not the same of the rest of the Canada.
What let you think then the taxe would be to high when we will separete? We have more taxe, because we have to pay 2 taxes, one for the canada, like the other province, and one for the Québec.

Quebec sucks. This is North America, learn the language! In America, and in any real country, secession = treason and is rewarded with a death penalty. These crybabies need some tanks rolling down their streets to set them straight.

I think put of the problem is that english Canadian apply France steroetypes and use jokes along those lines. The Quebecois have their own history, culture and traditions and I as a Canadian from Ontario I recongnize that. I still think that those differences add to our country and it is my hope that no one ever takes that away.

What will It take for Quebec to be happy within Canada?
Munts 4 years ago
When Quebecois talk about separation they talk about their project of a french teritorry (simply a dream). When Canadians talk about Quebec separation all you hear is , FUC*ING Frogs, Racists, Nazis, and all other insults that actually maintain this feeling of noninclusion. Canada became independent in 1867, USA in 1783 (because of a tax on tea!!!) and many other countries did the same(soon Scotland, but they speak english so it wont bother you i guess), what is so terribly wrong with dreaming?
lucos911 4 years ago 4
When dreaming rips a nation apart; when dreaming separates families from each other; when dreaming alienates a minority; when dreaming forces people to join a new nation because 50% =1 decided so then dreaming is terribly wrong.
My Canada will always include Quebec.
Munts 4 years ago
On a Side Note:
The British Quebec Act of 1774 was one of the intolerable acts that sparked the revolution in America.
In regards to Scotland. What I see in the United Kingdom right now is a push to a style of government like ours.
Munts 4 years ago
Glad to hear...as for alienated minorities 2% french speaking people in North America qualifies i think...manipulative politicians made you beleive french canadians are a majority in Quebec in order to make anglo quebecer look like they are treated like a mistreated minority, forget that,,
lucos911 4 years ago
...this would be like telling Innus in Qualuit tha t they are a majority and that they should stop complaining and mistreating the white minotity in the process of protecting their own identity and culture....
lucos911 4 years ago
....as for the Intolerable act of Quebec, it was the ultimate result of a growing frustration that finds its roots at the Boston Tea Party.
lucos911 4 years ago
...This act made Frenh Canadians(called simply Canadiens before this) British Citizens by force and beleive me that French were far more than 50%+1 not wanting this especially after The British had just finished the CLEANUP . burning and destroying farms and separating famillies..forcing many to exile (1755 and after)...
lucos911 4 years ago
Yeah, keep dreaming man!

your Canada will always include quebec, even by force?
brazeau2009 2 years ago
In my heart and mind. I have worked in Quebec for a time now. I love Quebec and hope it never leaves Canada. The first chance I get, I will take course to learn french so I can tell Quebecois in both official languages that I love Quebec and that Canada would not be the same without Quebec.
As long as Quebec separatism does not descend into an Ireland like state, I will accept the result of a clear referendum. I hope both sides never use force to achieve their means.
